Much of Trump’s appeal is that he is talking to you and not at you.

He is an effective speaker. Doesn’t use a teleprompter which he often mentions.

But the fact that he sounds like a fellow conservative that is fed up with the GOPe, the status quo, the quid pro quo and the usual DC shenanigans is what makes him engaging.

He is speaking his mind and not some carefully crafted and rehearsed speech that is PC, that is presented to focus groups, written by someone else, and comes off sounding like every other candidate.

There is also the fact that he is very successful at pretty much everything he does and will run Government like a business where our tax dollars are not pissed away but carefully accounted for.

These are just a few of the key reasons. There are more nuanced reasons, but IMO, this is the simple version of why Trump has appeal to many.

This isn’t the first time I’ve swum against the FR tide. I was pilloried for complaining about W not defending himself, us, and the U.S. military from the Leftist lies. And I am taking flak for having the audacity to make objective observations concerning Trump.
