Speaking at the 2015 Eagle Forum last Friday, Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson said, “The secular progressives, they don’t care whether you agree with them or not, as long as you keep your mouth shut, as long as you sit down and shut up.”
Over the weekend six presidential hopefuls, including Dr. Carson, spoke at the Eagle Council’s Eagle Forum in St. Louis, Missouri. The others were Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum, and Rick Perry, who announced the end of his presidential campaign.

Carson’s theme was courage, both physical and moral.
“Courage is one of the things that is sorely lacking these days in our society, and I think that’s one of the things that’s put us behind the eight ball,” he said. “Because people are afraid.”
“They’re afraid that somebody’s going to call them a name or give them an IRS audit or create a problem for their family,” said Carson. “And yet when you stop and think about all the things that people went through before we were here in order to give us our rights -- think about that kind of courage.”
Dr. Carson asked his audience to recall American history.
“Think about World War 2: the Nazis, the Axis Powers,” he said. “They were winning. And yet think about D-Day, when our soldiers invaded those beaches at Normandy, and being mowed down by machine-gun fire, a hundred men lying on the beach, a thousand men lying on the beach.”
“But did they turn back? Were they afraid?” he said. “Yes, they were afraid. But they did not turn back. They stepped over the bodies of their dead comrades knowing in many cases they would never see their loved ones or their homeland again. Why did they do it? They did it for you and for me so that we could be free, so that we could live in prosperity.”
Carson continued, “And now the question is, ‘Do we have the courage to stand up for what we believe in?’ Because see, today in America people have become frightened to stand up for what they actually believe in. We are in the process of giving away all of our values and principles for the sake of political correctness. And that will destroy the quality of life for those who are coming behind us.”
“I’m telling you, I’m not going to sit down and shut up,” Carson vowed. “And I hope that you won’t either .... This is too wonderful of a country for us to so easily relinquish it.”
We are done with amnesty pimps and gun grabbers Ben. It’s time to secure America and rebuild our industry.
A bunch of feel good hope and change has been tried.
Carson is a great surgeon but he has no energy. Ne makes bush look like a bumble bee.
Keep it up, Dr. Carson. You’re saying things that need to be heard.
Dr. Carson is a good man but not presidential timber for today.
His immigration, and gun positions are eye openers, not to mention his second guessing the police officer in Ferguson.

the reason that "courage" is lacking in our society, is that our self proclaimed Hollywood elitists now say that "courage" is announcing that you now identify as a woman, (read Bruce/Cait Jenner).

He is finished. He is a great man that rose high and deserves great accolades. He bitch slapped that POC obama right in his face but he has less energy and international skills than a dolt like bush. bush is gone— Carson is gone. It is all TRUMP!!
Never heards of a navy general, but I do recall US Public Health Services types having some kind of uniform code back in the ‘80’s. Best docs I ever had in the military and afterwards.

Yes, USPHS members wore a uniform. I don’t know if it was Navy or not, but it probably just looked like one.
Carson is OK except for his stand on birth control and gun control and illegal immigration.
Uniformed military change their uniforms from time to time.
We visited the Missouri at Pearl a few years ago and I thought I was talking to a Marine officer who turned out to be Navy...
THIS is why Carson's numbers are strong... Trump's my first - Carson's and Cruz are tied for second...
