Don’t be stupid
Not stupid, just practical. She would have to be close to the same age as I, and would benefit quite well by emigrating to this country. Besides getting a comfortable relationship with no dramatic issues to contend with, she would gain a safe place to live and sleep in along with food on the table and a steady income to rely on. I would get a companion I can rely upon with no ex-boyfriend issues (and no ex-husband ones either, I would hope) and someone to help with household duties among other things.
When I pass on, she would inherit whatever I own since afterwards I would have no need for it, and by then she would be a citizen as well.
Looks like a win-win from where I see it.
