House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) is bracing for what could be the toughest weeks of his speakership as several dozen conservatives in his party are threatening to topple him unless he is more ferocious with Democrats during the upcoming fiscal showdowns.

That internal Republican feud has increased the chances that Washington, for the second time in two years, could stumble into a shutdown of the federal government.

The speaker’s lieutenants are openly girding for battle with the small but influential bloc of anti-Boehner conservatives, who have signaled that if Boehner cuts any deal that they don’t like with Hill Democrats and President Obama, they could seek to remove him from the speaker’s post. It is a threat that Boehner and his allies are taking seriously.

“The people considering this are being totally irresponsible, but Boehner’s guys, we’re getting ready for whatever may come — not out of fear, but with exasperation about what some Republicans are willing to do to their own party,” said Rep. Peter T. King (R-N.Y.), who is part of the speaker’s circle of unofficial advisers.

Those “pesky” genuine House conservatives are not waiting to see what kind of deal Boehner and his lieutenants cut with DemocRATS, they're after him now!

Boehner damn-well needs to take them seriously because he’s done absolutely ZILCH since he took power. Name one significant battle this loser has won since he took over. He is pro-big gov’t, increased spending, and higher taxes, and has no stance on illegal immigration and that is NOT the party I’m going to vote for. The GOP needs to get its head out of its ass and get back to conservative issues or face the consequences. Their worst nightmare is Trump, but they are the very people who created the environment that allows Trump to flourish. Their doing, their problem. Boehner needs to grow a pair, quit crying, and start kicking some liberal ass and taking names. Until we start seeing something like that, Boehner’s toast in our book.

Speaker John Boehner has a message for everyone wondering what happens when he plays golf with President Barack Obama: It's just a game.

"The president has suggested, 'Hey, do you think it is too much trouble to play golf again?'" Boehner says in an interview with the Golf Channel. "I have to look at him and say, 'Yes, because everybody gets bent out of shape worried about what we are up to, when all we are really going to do is just play golf.'"

The speaker recalled another golf match with Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who is now seeking the Republican presidential nomination.
"President Obama shows up, we are getting ready to putt a few, and he says, 'Boehner, you and I are partners. We are going to take these guys (Kasich and Biden) on," Boehner recalled. "I thought John Kasich was going to cry. So the president and I whipped up on them pretty good and they paid up."

From the day he arrived, Boehner made it clear that lobbyists wouldn’t get past his receptionists until we wrote out checks for the maximum amounts allowed and that if we wanted consideration for our legisaltive initiatives, those checks had better keep coming.

He demanded invitations to Realtor conventions at locations where he could play golf. Boehner cares more for golf than he does for the needs of his constituents.

A promotion is running on The Golf Channel about Speaker of the House Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) appearing on the show “Feherty” on August 3, and Boehner, who has a history of waterworks, gets the tears flowing again.

“I wanted to make sure that every kid had the same chance I did. An opportunity,” Boehner told former PGA golfer David Feherty, with tears forming in his eyes.

The spot also shows Boehner talking about a picture of himself and colleagues, and he told Feherty, “The three of us are talking about how easily we turn to tears.”
