I couldn’t tell you the last time I tuned into CNN.
Why so?
What number on the dial is CNN? I can only get up and turn the channel every hour.
They will if they donate their profits to our veterans.
well for one thing those without cable TV can watch on their Computers or “smart devices” ..
I’m fairly certain that they will have higher ratings with Trump on the stage than a Republican debate would otherwise have on CNN.
Meh, I’d rather watch a MLB game. This is nothing but bread and circuses for the unwashed proles.
Why are Republicans agreeing to be moderated by CNN, and what share of its advertising proceeds has CNN agreed to donate to Veteran’s causes?
No, Fox debate was at 9 Eastern 6 pacific... Cnn and hour earlier
11 candidates is ridiculous. What is single digit Blimp and Rand doing on stage. And the shamnesty wonder boy? It should be top 6 at most.
Not really. The interested viewers aren’t cnn’s core viewers. So, most that bother to tune in will be doing so out of either committment or curiosity.
The only good thing about having Trump is the interest he creates in the debate. Good for all the candidates to show their stuff ( or lack thereof) to a huge audience.

Will this be CNN’s opportunity to trash the whole field? When will the Republicans learn to say no to the MSM?
Won’t be watching tonight. Will watch a few online clips tomorrow or later, I suppose.
FReepers will tell me soon enough what happens.
Would love to see CNN beat FOX after all the BS FOX has thrown out since the last debate.
“Will CNN have better ratings tonight than Fox’s debate?”
Undoubtedly. CNN has already said their format is to achieve as much personal interaction as possible between the candidates, attempting to create major fireworks with candidates going after each other in multiple mini-debates. I think it’s a great idea and should create a hell of an exciting debate if it works out that way.
But people will be tuning in to see Donald Trump, either to see him implode, see what new outrageous thing he might say, see him run the table, or simply because they’ve heard the buzz about Trump but haven’t yet seen him in action.
I will not be watching. I will follow the debate here on the FR thread.
But if it takes a presidental debate to beat Fox for one night, will they try to get the candidates to show up for a debate every night for the next 18 months? Why not see how big of a rating they have with Hillary debating herself, as Debbie waterknopf won’t probably allow any other candidates on the diaz with her.
If the debate conflicts with Cardinal base ball, I’ll watch the debate between innings and read about the debate on FR later. Ball game starts at 7:10 P.M. central time.
