Carly Fiorina, the former chief executive of Hewlett-Packard, is running for president on her business smarts. She led the company from 1999 to 2005, the first female head of a Fortune 50 firm and controversies from her high-profile tenure resurfaced Wednesday at the Republican debate.
"Yes, we had to make tough choices," Fiorina said on the prime-time stage, "and in doing so, we saved 80,000 jobs, went on to grow to 160,000 jobs. And now Hewlett-Packard is almost 300,000 jobs. We went from lagging behind to leading in every product category and every market segment."
"The company is a disaster and continues to be a disaster," Donald Trump responded later in the night. "They still haven't recovered. In fact, today, on the front page of the Wall Street Journal, they fired another 25 or 30,000 people saying we still haven't recovered from the catastrophe."
Trump is among a chorus of increasingly vocal Fiorina critics. Before her team could grab the space, a cybersquatter purchased CarlyFiorina.org, flooding the page with a frowning face for each lay-off they counted under her leadership. (The Fiorina campaigns digital home is CarlyforPresident.com)
Here are key points about her corporate reign:
1) Fiorina says Hewlett-Packard flourished under her guidance. The facts are more complicated.
In May, she told Fox News, We took a company and doubled it in size to almost $90 billion And yes, indeed, we grew jobs, because we transformed a company that was falling behind and failing to one that was growing and succeeding.
The Posts Fact Checker investigated these claims, ruling them misleading:

Here are the ads Boxer ran to destroy Fio-RINO.
That’s why Fio-RINO is the new designated loser for the GOPe because Hillary will recycle these ads and win:

I think they mean that she must have been smoking some of that Jeb weed to think HP did well.
HP announced yesterday that they are laying off ANOTHER 30,000 and restructuring BACK to many of the divisions Carly consolidated. I know for a fact that Flash had a hand in her firing - good enough for me to judge her management skills.
I see Fiorina as being a vengeful person. Also,no sense of humor. However, her mean-spirit nature is my main turnoff. That character flaw could have been the problem she had at HP.
At times, she looks like she is sucking a lemon. Other times, she is an attractive older women.
I know looks are supposedly off limits but it is what most people vote on.
She didn’t seem to forgiving of Trump during our after the debate.
I'm no Donald trump but I wouldn't hire her either.
She’s totally humorless. I noticed that big time last night. I’m joining Alex Baldwin in exile if Hillary and this uptight broad get the nomination. Once they get going at the debate, only dogs will be able to hear them.
Also. I. Hate. Her. Tweet. After. The. Me-GYN. Dustup. Period.
Trump hit that one out of the park. If she is such a great CEO there sure has not been much demand for her since HP. Iacocca never went without a job.
FLASHBACK:

Asked by a St. Louis radio station whether she thought Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin could run a company like Hewlett-Packard, Fiorina responded: “No, I don’t.
But that’s not what she’s running for. Running a corporation is a different set of things.”
Asked about that remark on MSNBC, she made the same unprompted assessment of the GOP presidential nominee. “I don’t think John McCain could run a major corporation.”
She also said she did not believe Democrats Barack Obama or Joe Biden had the right business background either.
But with the economy center stage in the campaign, the words that gave Democrats easy fodder to attack the Republican ticket.
A top McCain official contacted by CNN said, on condition on anonymity, “No big deal, but not how you get on the surrogate all-star team. Very Biden-like.”
This campaign source said Fiorina would be discouraged from additional media interviews.
Another top campaign adviser was far less diplomatic.
“Carly will now disappear,” this source said. “Senator McCain was furious.”
Asked to define “disappear,” this source said, adding that she would be off TV for a while but remain at the Republican National Committee and keep her role as head of the partys joint fundraising committee with the McCain campaign.
There’s no doubt Fiorina destroyed Lucent. Relatives who worked there... They employed thousands in Oklahoma City and closed the whole facility.
Carly was FOR doing business with Iran, before she was AGAINST it....

It was still good having her on stage.
We need a few of these other guys to man up and drop out.
Paul, huckabee, Rubio, gramnasty,Walker, Christy, kasic, Santorum all need to drop it.
Jindal would be interesting on stage with Trump, Cruz, Fiorinia, Carson, and unfortunately Mr. Establishment Bush
Sheesh!
(and dare we mention that in her run for CA Senate, she attacked Boxer's looks?!)
I find it hard to believe that McLame was furious unless it was her attack on Obama and Biden. Lame was in it for the Democrats.
Lucent story is even worst.
Very true. I don’t know how anyone can think this failed business woman can run our country.
