Obama to nominate first openly gay service secretary to lead the Army
Washington Post ^ | 09/18/15 | Gregg Jaffee

President Obama, in a historic first for the Pentagon, has chosen to nominate Eric Fanning to lead the Army, a move that would make him the first openly gay civilian secretary of one of the military services.

Fanning’s nomination is the latest in a series of actions taken by the administration to advance the rights of gays and lesbians throughout the federal government. The Obama administration has overhauled internal policies to provide benefits to same-sex partners, appointed gay men and lesbians to the executive branch and the federal bench and ended the 18-year ban on gays serving openly in the military.

Fanning, who must still be confirmed by the Senate, has been a specialist on defense and national security issues for more than 25 years in Congress and the Pentagon. As Army secretary, he would be partnered with Gen. Mark Milley, who took over as the Army’s top general in August. Together the two men would assume responsibility for the Pentagon’s largest and most troubled service.

Definitely. Google Ray Blanton, former governor of Tennessee. He was convicted of selling pardons and paroles and the TN state troopers had to break into his office to stop him from signing pardons.

Obummer has destroyed the office of potus. It will forever be a joke and a curse.

Government abandoned merit long, long ago. I think it was a night in 1801.

Campaign contributions from the homosexual lobby are more important than national security.

Pray for America.

>>Why does the Congress and the courts not stop it?

Because “they” have something on every single one of them. That’s why they say one thing when running, but quickly change once elected.

“They” either “own” them or “off” them.

I’ll leave it to the reader to determine who “they” is.

So he’s Secretary of the Army because he ejaculates in other men’s digestive tracts.

What a country...

I don’t care who is gay or straight as long as they do their duty, their job and they have the qualifications for it. Also, if I may add, as long as it does not hurt troop morale and undermine security, that goes for all, heterosexuals as well as homosexuals. I once heard an old OSS agent from World War II stating that the three best ways to gain control over someone is through the use of alcohol, drugs and sex, either as a “payment” or to blackmail them with. Even so, I would like to ask what qualifications and credentials this nominee has. I doubt he is the best nominee out there, I’m sure there are others who can do the job better. He is being nominated because of his sexual preference, I know, I’m being master of the obvious here, but it is true. I don’t care what the guy does in his private life as long as he can do the job but what we are seeing here is affirmative action pure and simple, then again, what do you expect from out first “affirmative action president.”
