No. Not at all.

Your congress does not change no matter who is in charge.
Your President is more concerned with his golf game than his country.
Your Judiciary makes up new rules without the consent of the governed.

You can believe that the government of our youth, and the principles that we were raised on still exist.

I recognize that they changed a long time ago. I recognize that our representatives are corrupt. I recognize that compromise, which used to be an accepted tool, is now a profane term. I recognize that our government lies to coverup their failures in an effort to prevent outright revolution.

This is not going to end well.

We have the choices they present us. Our elections are as fixed as the USSR’s were. We will spend the next 15 months pretending that we might just make a difference.

You and I both know the only way things in our government are going to change, is to change them. I pray it happens at the ballot box. But, my pragmatic side is not so optimistic.
