Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” host Chuck Todd asked Republican front-runner Donald Trump, “Can you imagine supporting or being comfortable if a Muslim ever became president of the United States?”
Trump said, “I can say it’s something that at some point could happen. We’ll see. I mean you know at some point it could happen. Would I be comfortable? I don’t know if we have to address it right now but I think it’s certainly something that could happen.”
Talking over Todd he added, “Some people have said it already happened, frankly, but, of course, you wouldn’t agree with that.”
Todd said, “But let’s get to that. Why won’t you concede that the president is a Christian and that the president was born in the United States?”
Trump said, “Because I don’t talk about people’s faith. now, in all fairness he said he was a Christian. He attended the church of Reverend Wright and so, you know, I’m willing to take him at his word for that. I have no problem with that.”

If he meant to say Christian faith, why would he say that John McCain doesn’t talk about my Christian faith?
Why would McCain make an issue about a faith that most Americans follow? Obama said what he meant to say.
He does not ignore Christian holidays. He issues statements on them, though they are not what I would issue...
Yet on Saturday Trump visited a high school and said that he would have absolutely no problem putting a Muslim in his cabinet or on his ticket.
If they demand he give the name of who SOME people are, he can give them mine.
I can prove he is moslem, not because he says he is not, and I’m not sure he ever said he is not moslem, but by everything he does that promotes and encourages islamic jihad.

Agree. I’m enjoying watching Trump bat away at the MSM. Him saying he’d be open to having one on his cabinet is akin to saying “I’ll look closely at ANY and ALL cabinet member choices....choosing only the best and finest American experts, etc.”
He didn’t take the bait on the supporting a muuzlim President question, at all.
I honestly think he’s an atheist and a narcissist. He spent his formative years in muslim school in Indonesia and grew up being taught to hate all American institutions. In Chicago he attended that bastard’s church because it was a power center and social requirement as a community organizer. His heart is with the muslims but he’s not a devout follower.

This is becoming such a controversy. The GOP candidates should say when he/she become President, he/she will put an end to this. They will prove once and for all that Obama was born in the USA, not Kenya, by releasing his original birth certificate. He/she will release his college records and transcripts to prove that he didn’t attend college as a foreign student. He/she will also find out where he was baptized to prove he is a Christian and not a Muslim. When he/she becomes president he/she will quench ALL the rumors about Obama by releasing ALL his records. Therefore this controversy will be no longer.
Get honest yardstick. If he meant presumed muslim faith he would have said presumed. You can’t read minds so try facts.
