Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers appears to take a jab at Seahawk Russell Wilson (Mocks God)
Seattle Times ^ | 09/21/2015 | Bob Condotta

Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers insisted throughout the week that he wouldn’t be thinking about anything that had happened in past games with the Seattle Seahawks as the two teams prepared for a rematch.

But after the Packers beat the Seahawks 27-17 in Green Bay Sunday night, Rodgers made a comment that appeared to show some of the history with the Seahawks was on his mind. Specifically, comments Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson made after the NFC Championship game crediting the Seahawks’ comeback to God.

Asked after the game a question about the Packers have been able to create and deal with a winning culture, Rodgers said, according to the transcript prepared by the team: “I just think it’s a top-down mentality. It’s being very confident in the preparation and then getting it all from God. I think God was a Packer fan tonight, so He was taking care of us.”

Rodgers was jabbing Wilson in a tongue-in-cheek way.

Rodgers' comment that God doesn't much care about the outcome of a football game is (probably) correct. It's a game, for goodness sake.

Aaron Rodgers is my second fave QB to watch play, he's a great QB.

That being said, the Rodgers tweet list in rhwingut's post is pretty darn convincing. Just take a gander, it's not pretty.

God has a sense of humor. All one has to do is look around and you will see what I mean.

Before everyone gets all up in arms I’d recommend looking a little closer at Aaron Rodgers:

So that negates all his charity work and other good deeds? I don’t believe he’s perfect and he might say or do some things I might not agree with, but I haven’t seen him be mean to anyone. Twitter does not measure a person’s character, actions do.

By the way, he was brought up in a Christian household.

No. Really? I didn't know that. Was Jon Stewart a real news show? Fill me in.

I'd be really impressed if Rodgers followed TweetsOfAllah or some account which satires Allah (if allowed). But he doesn't have balls.

If you haven't followed Rodgers on Twitter you have no clue. He's a huge promoter of whatever the latest moonbat cause is. Which I could really care less.

But when he starts mocking another player for his beliefs. Well, screw him. Russell Wilson is a good role model for Christianity. And they'd love nothing more than to shut him up.

I'm a Seahawks fan. I have no heartburn over what Rodgers said. The ST is trying to stir up a tempest in a teapot (nothing new for that fish wrapper).

The Seattle defense stank up Lambeau Field, and the Packers schooled them pure and simple. Good for Green Bay.

The officiating, on the other hand, was questionable at time. Missed intentional helmet to helmet contact, for one.

But Green Bay made Seattle's D look like a bunch of morons. It was embarrassing.

Very disappointing. I always thought more highly of Aaron Rodgers than that.

Agreed. GB was so banged up that aside from Rodgers they beat Seattle with their second string. Their D-Line was in bad shape and our O-Line couldn’t handle them.

Bevel’s not the genius everyone made him out to be. The real genius left the building - Dan Quinn.

That is now glaringly obvious.

Ken Norton’s Raiders won this weekend too. Another defensive coaching stalwart. However, the Raider’s D wasn’t what did it this weekend.

.
Rodgers wasn’t mocking God; he was mocking the absurd premise that God takes sides in a football game.

Do you believe God takes sides in games?

Just wanted to make sure there was a response here for anyone that actually clicked on the thread to read the garbage...

I’d be embarrassed at this point.
