Last week, Jeb Bush finished on a high note, supporters say, enjoying a post-debate bump that keeps the former governor odds-on favorite for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination.
As proof, Right to Rise USA the super PAC supporting the Republican candidate released a wrap-up of the week featuring images, statistics, and predictions, each highlighting the extent of Bushs post-debate boost.
First, the group produced a YouTube video compilation to recap media coverage praising Bushs performance following Wednesdays three-hour marathon GOP debate. Much of the coverage centered on accolades over the way Bush handled the record of his brother former President George W. Bush.
Although pictures may be worth a thousand words and video even more its numbers that tell a deeper story of Jebs good week.

Jindal will disappoint you. Guaranteed. He is a creature of the GOPe and probably could not even carry Louisiana at this point.
Oh heck yeah he got a 50% boost, from 4% to 6%. What a guy!!
“Jeb Bush finishes week strong”
I guess he forgot to bathe.
Chortle
YEB’s campaign and his RINO supporters have been licking Mexican frogs and smoking peyote, si’?
-— I swear, if Jeb gets the nomination, I will know it is fixed and will never bother voting again. Makes me sick. -—
It is fixed. The GOPe made adjustments to the primary process to prevent insurgent candidates after the last election.
Right now, the only ones who can survive a long campaign are Bush, Trump and Cruz. A handful of others have a slim chance.
Regardless, this election marks the best chance for a conservative since 1979.
“It IS fixed. Except Trump came along and blew the whole settle the rugby scrum at the convention GOPe gameplan right out of the water.”
Isn’t that the truth! Heads were (and still are) exploding over that. “What ever shall we do??? Oh Noes!!!”
People have posted that they hope Donald has a good security detail. I fully agree. He absolutely must not settle for the appointed SS detail all promising candidates receive, but rather must hire the very best contractors who actually believe in him and what he stands for. I fear that if he does not, and his numbers do not decline, outside entities will declare “doom on you Mr Trump”, and some sort of *unexpected* health issue will get him.
I don’t see any way gets there anyway. No real path the main debate stage unless he happens to get to it right as others fall out and gets lucky.
I see his popularity fell in LA. What happened? I’ve always been a fan, as have many here as he made his way up LA politics.
Maybe in bizzaro world.
He lost Louisiana’s conservatives three different ways, in my opinion.
1.) When fedgov-leviathan was prohibiting him from taking proactive measures to protect the coast after the Deepwater Horizon oil spill event, he had a golden opportunity to openly defy Washington D.C. and look out for the people of Louisiana. He didn’t. He complained at length, but that was all. Civil disobedience by a State governor in those circumstances would have been a game changer for the entire nation. Jindal did not have the resolve and I feel that in many ways he lost something vital in the wake of that frustration. He -was- passionate about that, but not enough to risk jail.
2.) As the oil patch has suffered, so has Louisiana. Money is very tight and businesses have closed, are faltering, or are very cautious. Budget cuts were inevitable. Jindal cut, but he cut too much, and unevenly according to many including some very tight fisted, lean and mean government proponents. There is a short distance between lean and mean and starved and faltering. Many feel that we have crossed the line into starved and faltering. A judge recently complained to me that there was -nothing- available for those who were mentally ill and appearing in court on criminal charges. They weren’t truly criminals, they were incompetents, but there was -nothing- available for them. This was a conservative judge in an ultra conservative parish.
3.) His personality is cold and remote, unless it is a painful effort to simulate passion or engagement. He isn’t charismatic in the slightest. This last point IMO is simply not his fault, but Louisiana is a place which puts a premium on garrulous cordiality and Jindal is stiff and remote.
IMO Jindal is not a bad man, but he is an inadequate one for any high executive position.* Left to his own devices he becomes little more than a bean counter. His pro-life commitment and so on is sincere and strong, but he is too cerebral about them, going back to the personality thing. Where he excelled was as a staffer for Governor Mike Foster back in the day. Jindal would make a remarkable cabinet member, provided someone over him keeps him on task to a broader purpose. That said, Jindal is not a leader and never will be. He has many gifts. Leadership is not one of them. He is an excellent subordinate and team member. Superlative in fact, when he is on his game and following a strong lead.
*To be fair, he is still head and shoulders over the last run of modern governors except for Mike Foster.
I agree. Remember the break away railing approved by the SS bunch “protecting” Bob Dole? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWib8GbrIlA
Beautiful plumage, though, eh?
In a sane world with a responsible agenda-less media your question would be asked at this point in time and with regularity until a sufficient answer was given. We do not live in a sane world.
