Some enterprising individual should come up with chains for bike tires and also a small snow shovel that fastens to the front. LOL.

Two solutions: 1) a compact cassette and a 50/34 setup and 2) a fat bike.
Yes I rode today and I pay gas/highway and property taxes here in CO, but I suspect my posting will bring on 10 posts of the video of the dude with the diesel downshifting whenever he passes bikes going up a pass and 40 posts of "you should ride on the sidewalk". Oh well.
