The most political show on television today involves shambling ghouls that feed on human flesh and the meat puppets who try to avoid being feasted upon. “Fear the Walking Dead,” the “Walking Dead” spin-off set at the beginning of the zombie outbreak, offers us a view of the liberal, sensitive type of people who put Obama into office and – probably inadvertently – demonstrates the utter moral and intellectual bankruptcy of everything they believe in.
Modern liberalism is an unfortunate byproduct of civilization. The fact that our lives are not largely devoted to hunting and gathering food and fighting off marauders who would rape, enslave, and/or kill us, allows a large segment of our society to forget that this is the natural state of man. You didn’t have liberals in the Dark Ages because a liberal would last about ten seconds, expiring with a spear through his guts after telling the local warlord that he disapproved “of this patriarchal, phallocentric, cisnormative power structure.”
Now, of course a substantial number of Americans pay tribute to humanity’s past by understanding human nature and often by preparing to confront the forces of chaos. These people are conservatives. We conservatives expect problems, and expect that we will have to solve them ourselves. We generally know how to hunt, to gather food, and we have guns and know how to use them. And we understand that society always – always – teeters on the edge of falling apart.

A friend of mine and longtime Freeper nagged me for a year to watch “The Strain.” We finally did, and wow, am I glad she didn’t let up. What a good show.
Eichhorst is one of two characters on TV who really scares me.

When you blame environment/society for everything, you have an excuse to remake all of society despite the desires of the majority AND excuse for any atrocity someone commits because “they” made me do it.
Ironically, it is only with individual responsibility that one can take steps to improve one’s own life, and on a large scale, many people can raise up the average of society.
Whie I really enjoy F.T.W.D.; "Fear the Living Imbaciles" stinks to high heaven, or in this case: purifying flesh.
You know it is really bad when at this point the audience is cheering for the "walkers" in the hopes that they will kill off and infect the ENTIRE CAST of main characters. The only minor character that deserves to survive is "Nerd Zit Knife Boy" because he is the only one acting in his right mind, knowing what he does about what is happening. As for the rest of the totally, dysfunctional, and unlikable cast of "characters":
"Go Walkers Rah, Rah, Rah; "Bite em, Eat em, Sis Boom Bah!" ..."Gooo Walkers!"
The one thing I dislike about FR'S posting system is the inability to edit, or correct errors made in one's previous post.
No Gaffer. Not really. Unless you have a real lot of spare time on your hands and have nothing else you can possibly do. It’s really starting slowwwww. You could just read this article and get most of what the show offers. Which is not much. Not even many zombies yet, and what there are, the libs have such conflicted feewwwwwings about.
