the other thing that is bothering me is that there are too many holes in the plot.

How did the black boyfriend and the principle get bitten? And why didn’t the black boyfriend not talk about it with they came to visit him? DUDE! some crazy dude attacked me for no reason and BIT me! I barely got away! ect.

And how did the principle turn so quickly? why was he not eaten whole?

too many gaps.

"the other thing that is bothering me is that there are too many holes in the plot."

I can live with a few plot holes if the show is otherwise entertaining. This one isn't. I could even live with the slow start if they were using it to develop characters and set up later events, but they aren't even doing that. Other than the junkie we know nothing about what motivates and drives these characters. They are just bland cookie cutter copies of characters which could be in any network sit-com or drama.

I remember very early on in TWD, that people just got sick, very high fever. They then would die, and come back as a Walker. Now, it seems to take being injured by another one; but, in the beginning, people would turn after dying from something that seemed like a virulent flu virus.

We are at the very beginning in FTWD.
