There was a time when African-Americans and women couldn’t even vote in this country, let alone be president.

That was changed by two Constitutional amendments. If Islamic Americans become a strong enough force, a Constitutional amendment will likely be similarly passed to allow them to serve as president.

But as of now, why of all things are our two top Republican presidential candidates spending their time attacking Islam when Christianity has been under fire as never before, and our freedom of religion is increasingly under threat?

Why are they not talking about those important things?

Since America with all its faults has been a very tolerant country, how can a political party continue to thrive if its two top presidential candidates spend one day after another exhibiting their xenophobia, misogyny, and uncommon level of intolerance?

Making America great again?! For whom?

Why would that be necessary? No formal religious test for office would be legal, and the only ones who ever get tested de facto are conservative Christians.

The establishment has no problem with a Muslim president, that much is obvious.
