I’m surprised no one has pointed out (maybe I just haven’t seen it) that when you plug it into the wall socket and have those exposed wires, you have something that is very dangerous. 120 Volts can kill a person. That contraption looks very unsafe.

Ever conned your city cousin into pissing on the elect fence when you were a kid? Those run 20,000 volts and up, but don’t kill. Your car ignition can put out 50,000 volts, and I can’t recall anyone being killed by that.

The fence and the ignition have very low amperage. 110 ac is usually 10 amp min. That’s enough current to kill you right quick. Totally different animal than an electric fence!

Ahmed can’t wait to take his fake “invention” to the White House? When is someone going to call him on his false claim of “invention” when all he did is the same thing most us of did when we were 12 to 14. . . take things apart, and see what’s in them and often put them in another casing? He made ZERO changes to a commercial product except take it out of its plastic casing.
In addition, when is someone going to state the obvious? I have not seen anyone state it, so I will. This alarm clock went off in class calling attention to itself, when it was not plugged in, meaning it was running on the battery backup. It is child’s play (literally) to connect that alarm circuit to something else. . . and that something could do other things than “trigger” a noise. Such a set-up could trigger a weapon.
As far as I am concerned, the teacher and police, given the circumstances and the date of the incident, did exactly the right thing.

Absolutely. Some people have said "they knew it wasn't a bomb or they would have evacuated the school." That's probably correct. They knew it wasn't a bomb but they didn't know if it was a bomb hoax.
A bomb hoax is a Federal felony and the school authorities had a legal duty to report it and the cops had a legal duty to investigate it.
