Trump: I Know More About Syria Than Marco Rubio Because ‘I Create Jobs All Day’
Mediaite ^ | 09/24/2015 | Alex Griswold

Posted on 09/24/2015 11:52:23 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Donald Trump said on CNN’s New Day that he knows more about Syria than Senate Foreign Policy Committee member Marco Rubio, because he has a history of job creation.

Trump defended his refusal to offer any sort of foreign policy specifics. “Marco Rubio wants to tell every single thing that he knows to everybody, so that the people on the other side, so that the enemy can learn all about it. I want to be unpredictable.”

“I know more about Syria than Marco Rubio knows about Syria,” he boasted. “I know about us beating ISIS and us trying to knock out ISIS, and them wanting to go against [Syrian dictator Bashar Assad], and Assad saying, ‘I can’t believe it, Americans are killing my enemy, this is the greatest thing happening to me.’”

“I understand wanting to be unpredictable with the enemy and not telegraphing that, but for the voters…?” asked CNN’s Alisyn Camerota.

Trump conceded that “unfortunately,” presidential candidates have to talk about their foreign policy in order to get elected. “Don’t forget, Alisyn, I was the one that said don’t go into Iraq, and that was in 2003 and 2004.”

“Yes, but how do you now know more about Syria than Marco Rubio?” she asked.

“Look, Marco Rubio sits behind a desk sometimes, and he reads stuff, and he’s in committees. That’s all he does,” Trump said. “I create jobs all day long. I know more about all of this than all of them put together. Believe me, we’ll have a winning strategy.”

“I saw these quotes somewhere else and they were listed as “I’ll know” rather than “I know”. Can’t watch video right now so I don’t know who is right.”

You’re correct. I just listened to the video and Trump said “I’LL know...” Rather than “I know...”

Also, there’s no “because” in his statement!

Trumps statement becomes:

“Look, Marco Rubio sits behind a desk sometimes, and he reads stuff, and he’s in committees. That’s all he does,” Trump said. “I create jobs all day long. I(’LL) know more about all of this than all of them put together. Believe me, we’ll have a winning strategy.”

The editing reminds me of NBC’s editing of Zimmeman’s 911 call about Trayvon Martin.

This post is to state the truth and avoid the liberal twisting of facts.

There’s a difference between being a policy wonk (Rubio) and a doer (Trump).

And what specifically is that difference with regard to Syria, which Rubio obviously knows tons more about than Trump?

Thanks for the confirmation. "I know" versus "I'll know" is a big difference. Both can be subject to valid criticism, but I get the feeling that this misquoting was deliberate.

Three days ago he announced that he would be rolling out his "top of the line" national security team. This is where I think the "I'll know" is coming from.

It’s not Trump making the connection. It’s Griswold of Mediate stretching Trump’s comments into a twisted confused context to try and make Trump seem disjointed.

It’s another ‘hit piece’.

A good manager knows how to find the right people for advice. A bad manager is convinced he knows all the answers.

A bad manager probably has four bankruptcies. Can we afford another?

Trump needs to get his foreign policy team on speed dial. He needs to start taking daily briefings as if he were president now.

Awesome. We get to wait for him to be elected to find out what he will do on these issues. The world can’t wait.

You’re welcome.

The insertion of “because” is also a significant. It makes Trump sound stupid, which is the one thing he isn’t.

The headline and the first paragraph of the writer are meant to deceive rather than inform.

It’s deliberate by a liberal or the GOPe. We know it’s redundant.

And this is where Syrian Government starts ‘refugeeing’ towards Germany. By the time your shenanigans make it into Trump’s inbox, you probably aren’t amongst us anymore. That inbox is his people’s ‘fixed, Boss’ portal.

And don’t think he hasn’t pulled all the Patriots zero fired over the last 7 years in our service branches, for being Patriots.

"I’m scratching my head trying to see the connection between Syria and job creation."

While I was listening to Rubio on the debates I was thinking, he sure remembers lots of stuff, wonder how many jobs all that flowery talk is going to create.

Trump seems to think it was ok for Iraq to violate the terms of the Gulf War cease fire. Lighting up out planes with radar. Violating no-fly zones. Kicking inspectors out of Iraq.

I'm not so sure removing Saddam was the best move there. Of course hindsight and all....
