What denomination do you assemble with on Sundays, given that you purport to be a real Christian ? I want to see how the other candidates measure on your litmus test.

The Anglican Communion, thank you very much!

I’m not terribly concerned about the the other candidates as they havent made a CARNIVAL SHOW of thier alleged Christianity

Mr NYC real estate on the other hand had the audacity...gee theres THAT word again....the Audacity to wave around a Bible that he clearly hasnt READ..even while stating that he does BRING GOD Into it.

thats inane on the face of it.

Jindal is headed down a slippery slope with this.

Jindal is taking swings at Trump trying to find a way to make himself relevant in the polls and debates.

Not gonna work. Jindal should've known better, but I guess he was desperate and had to try.

“Always thought Jindal had a future as maybe a senator or something but...”

FACT: Jindal has already served 2 terms in the House of Representatives; was elected first time with 58% of vote, second time with 78%.
Elected governor with 54%, reelected with 66%.
Read that again. Seems to me, a majority of Louisianians think Bobby’s doing something right.
Jindal’s record in the House—bills he wrote or co-sponsored— is readily accessible online.
As gov, he cut state expenditures 26% by eliminating many do-nothing positions, and fired 33,000 non-essential state workers. So yeah, I’m guessing those folks don’t like Bobby too much.
Background in health policy, university administration. Was appointed to LA Health and Hospitals at age 24 by then-gov Mike Foster; on Foster’s recommendation, appointed by George W as a junior assistant at HHS. In both positions, he went after waste and fraud, saving millions for taxpayers.

As LA governor, he’s done an ASTOUNDING job on Katrina recovery (liberal media will show you 10 year old shots of the 9th ward underwater. And BTW, the 9th ward is a residential neighborhood. Whether or not it EVER comes back is entirely dependent on the decisions of the private property owners who STILL own those properties.)

He’s attracted $66 billion in new business and job-generating investment; fought the Obama administration (and won) to get a state share in offshore oil revenues. More people in LA are employed now than ever in LAs history.
The democrats are furious, of course, that Bobby’s campaign backers have been big business and oil industry CEOs—the people who do business and hire people in Louisiana. Bobby is pro-business and pro-employment.
Dems hate that. They’ve been trying to get him on “ethics violations” (he instituted a bunch of ethics regulations, to the dismay of entrenched corrupto-crats) but so far they’ve got nothing.

Louisiana has a cap on welfare benefits. Two years in any five year period, and a lifetime five year limit. Applicants are informed of their cutoff date, and are directed to employment resources when they apply.

Jindal has qualified for the South Carolina ballot, according to his campaign manager, Timmy Teeple.
There’s lots more about Jindal online. Wikipedia and Google are our friends.
But don’t let that stop y’all from letting the liberal media-driven Almighty Polls (which BTW had Carson and Fiorina at the bottom a few weeks ago)
do y’all’s thinkin’ for ya.
Shouldn’t we, the voters, be driving the narrative?
Examine the record. If you still don’t like Bobby, based on your assessment of the FACTS, I can absolutely respect that.
But when I see some of the comments on FR, saying Jindal should go back to his convenience store job, and comparing him to Abu from The Simpsons, it just baffles me.
FACT: He’s a Rhodes scholar.

As for the accusation that Jindal is an “anchor baby”—FACT: Jindal’s parents did NOT sneak across the border. They came here legally, and were “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” upon arrival. They are both naturalized citizens, have scrupulously adhered to the legal process, assimilated and contributed to this country. His mother became naturalized 5years after arriving; since the process takes 5 years, that means she began immediately upon arriving here, and before Bobby was born.

The media will focus on Jindal’s wisecracks and ignore 45 minutes of discussion of his record and policies because the media think we, the people are too stupid to care about issues and solutions, and all we want is a circus.
Jindal won the Heritage Action debate—the one that focused on issues, not media feuds or “gotcha” questions—the debate that Trump skipped,
and the media largely ignored.
Numerous conservative wonks have stated Jindal is a qualified conservative candidate who should be at the ‘big boy table.’

While I sort of agree that Jindal shouldn’t have to resort to wisecracks to attract media attention, (and yeah, I sometimes cringe, too) the reality is that he’s a true conservative, a nerdy little wonk who gets things done, and that’s boring to TV watchers. His wisecracks have, unfortunately garnered him the only major media attention he’s gotten thus far. Behind the scenes, though, among people who’ve watched him for awhile, he rocks!
The challenge for conservatives, IMO, is to force the media to turn off the circus and gotchas, and to focus on real issues and policies for more than 5 seconds.
Trump, in providing plenty of “harrumph!” and “take that, you SOBs!” media circus and ratings, has, whether or not Trumpers are willing to admit it, fed and contributed to the media’s disdain for voters’ intelligence.
If we continue to allow ourselves to be entertained, and led by polls and liberal media, while failing to do our homework on the candidates, we do so at our own peril.

Statements concerned how Jindal’s decision to become a principal Trump trasher might affect the public’s opinion of him. That relates to the now and the future, not the past.

The most laughable assertion concerns the [Huey P. Long] bridge. It was not torn down and rebuilt. It was refurbished. The legislature and voters approved the refurbishment in the 80s. The work began in 2006. Jindal took office in 2008.

Thanks for making my point. Approved in the 1980s.
What happened to THE MONEY approved by voters and legislature in the 80s?
Work didn’t actually START until 2006. after Katrina, after the worlds eyes were focused on Louisiana’s incompetence and corruption. As a major evacuation route, the bridge couldn’t be ignored any longer, and I’m pretty sure Katrina money helped fund it.
As for rebuilt vs refurbished, I drove across it, and it looks rebuilt to me. It wasn’t “torn down” prior to the rebuilding, so my wording may have been sketchy. The new lanes were built around the old structure somehow, so the old structure was still available. THEN much of the old structure was removed as necessary.
My overall point is that under Jindal, the work got done.

Same goes for the pumps and infamous pump houses in New Orleans.
Parish President Aaron Broussard ordered the pump operators to evacuate for their own safety, due to the fact that the pump houses had not been built. But the money had been allocated some years before.
Where did the money go?
As a result, the pump weren’t turned on, the city remained underwater, and the existing pumps were also damaged or destroyed.

All were shiny and new when I was there.

As for New Orleans being declared a sanctuary city—the
Mayor is Democrat Mitch Landrieu. Mary’s brother.
‘Nuff said.
I don’t think its fair to accuse Jindal of insincerity on that issue. I think he is, in principle, really opposed to Sanctuary Cities. But in reality, that opposition is very hard to sell to heavily Democratic New Orleans, because so much of the immediate post- Katrina cleanup was, in fact, performed by illegals who came in.
Looter Guy didn’t want the job.

“My overall point is that under Jindal, the work got done.”

As I mentioned, the work was started two years before Jindal became governor.

“What happened to THE MONEY approved by voters and legislature in the 80s?”

The tax revenue had to be accumulated. It was a massive and costly undertaking. I cannot imagine the traffic. I used to live in New Orleans.

As you may know, when the bridge was built, they started from both sides; when they met in the middle it was not exactly point to point, so there was a slight bend in the bridge, believe it or not. I was going home one night about 2 a.m. and fell asleep at the top of the bridge and my tires caught the “bend” and woke me up. I assume they ironed that out.

After Katrina, the Federal government took over (Corps of Engneers) the levee, pumps. etc.

I, of course, can not argue the point about corruption in Louisiana. It occurred before Jindal, during Jindal, and will occur after Jindal. Same as in most states.

“Jindal loves Christ and it shows”

If you lived in Louisiana, you would not make that statement.
c.b.forgotston.com is a good start.

I haven't found anything critical of Bobby Jindal's faith on Forgotston's site, nor have I found anything regarding his own faith. Is C.B. a Christian, and if so, how strong? He never mentions Christ! Who would know? And I couldn't find any articles regarding abortion, or pro-life, etc. either, on his site.

Forgotston stated in one article, "One thing that is clear — Bobby remains focused on Bobby."

I don't see that when Jindal has the fortitude to run looping Planned Parenthood sting tapes [in front of the governor's mansion] for those protesting his decision to stand against PP, the tapes created by David Daleiden of Center for Medical Progress. Bobby obviously is pulling for the unborn, so I stick by my original assessment: "Jindal loves Christ and it shows."

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/08/20/bobby-jindal-plays-planned-parenthood-videos-on-massive-screen-outside-governors-mansion/

I read that Forgotston is an outspoken critic of legalized gambling, so I'm thinking he is not supporting Trump either?

“I haven’t found anything critical of Bobby Jindal’s faith on Forgotston’s site, nor have I found anything regarding his own faith.”

Forgotston has enough class to not criticize Jindal’s faith, since that not in man’s purvey. Jindal, of course, thinks that it is, not hesitant to take cheap shots at Trump, despite Biblical warnings not to. Forgotston deals with objective fact and events (I hear him on the radio frequently).

“Forgotston stated in one article, “One thing that is clear — Bobby remains focused on Bobby.”

You don’t see that because you don’t live in Louisiana, evidently. Jindal has been running for president since the next day he won his first election as governor. He is about to leave office with the state in financial shambles.

Jindal, who slams Trump when Trump says he is a Christian and promises to uphold Christianity here and in the Middle East, said this about Obama:

“I can’t speak for Gov. Walker,” Jindal told the Washington Examiner. “Of course the president is a Christian. Of course he loves this country.”

As someone pointed out on this site, it is okay to slam Trump about being Christian, but you better keep quiet about Obama.

Jesus warned about people using his name for ulterior purposes. Just because someone uses his name...

FROM CNN DEBATE:

TAPPER: Thank you candidates. We’re going to talk a lot about policy and your proposals this evening.

But first, Governor Jindal, I want to start with you. You have said that the front runner, Donald Trump, is a, quote, “unstable, narcissistic, ego maniac.” Now, we are in the house of Reagan, who made famous the so-called 11th Commandment, “Thou shalt not speak ill of thy fellow Republican.”

What drove you to violate that unofficial commandment?

JINDAL: Well, Jake, I’m in compliance with the 11th Commandment, and I would tell my fellow Republicans, let’s stop treating Donald Trump like a Republican. If he were really a conservative...

(APPLAUSE)

If he were really a conservative and 30 points ahead, I would endorse him. He’s not a conservative. He’s not a liberal. He’s not a Democrat. He’s not a Republican. He’s not an independent. He believes in Donald Trump.

Here is the reality, the idea of America is slipping away. Eighteen trillion dollars of debt, Planned Parenthood selling baby parts across our country. Our government is creating a new entitlement program, when we can’t afford the government we’ve got today.

We’ve got a president who won’t even say the words radical Islamic terrorism. He has declared war on trans fats and a truce with Iran. Think about that. He’s more worried about Twinkies than he is about the ayatollahs having a nuclear weapon.

(APPLAUSE)

That’s what is happening, the idea of America is slipping away. We must not let that happen on our watch. We have a once in a lifetime opportunity to rescue the idea of America, the choice for conservatives. Do we depend on proven conservative principles like Ronald Reagan did, or do we turn this over to a narcissist who only believes in himself...

Bobby Jindal comes out after the president in the above. He is not being “quiet about Obama,” nor has he been in the past. As far as Forgotston not criticizing Jindal’s faith, it’s my belief it’s because he “can’t.” I’d be interested to hear what C.B. has to say in that regard, but I won’t hold my breath waiting.

And as far as Jindal coming out against Trump, yes, the Bible says take your concerns to your brother privately, but if there is no answer, then others may know about it too. I’m not certain if Jindal spoke with Trump privately or not, but it’s always good to warn others, when you feel harm might be around the corner.

We can take heed if we like, or we can pass on it. Bobby knows there’s a possibility of an [overall] Trump win.

“We must speak the truth with boldness and act with boldness. Christian values are under attack, and it’s time to speak up.” -Bobby Jindal
