Scratching our heads ping.
Oh my.
I find it hard to believe Cruz was intentionally doing something off-color. Seriously. The guy is too smart to become involved in something like that.
What this does cause me to wonder, is what exactly is going on, and why now? Have they finally realized Trump is for real, and there’s no need to hold off an play gotcha with Cruz later?
Is this how they expected to take Cruz down so Bush could win? Did they plant someone in a PAC to do something that would reflect negatively on him?
Yes, scratching my head, and looking forward to some decent answers. I’m behind Ted here 100%.
Those of you who thought Cruz was the go-to guy, if this does hurt Ted, this is exactly why I said we can’t count on normal Conservatives. The GOPe/Big D.C. Machine will find a way. They always do.
Makes you wonder what they have on Trump.
Perhaps they’ve already spent that ammo. Let’s hope.
Good luck Ted, seriously. Put this to bed and move on.
Hedge-Fund Magnate Robert Mercer Emerges as a Generous Backer of Cruz
04/11/2015
Mr. Mercer is a very low-profile guy, but hes becoming a bigger and bigger player, said Bradley A. Smith, a campaign finance expert who was a Republican appointee on the Federal Election Commission. Mr. Mercers financial support for Mr. Cruz sends the message to other donors that Cruz is a serious guy, Mr. Smith said, and that brings in other donors.

Washington (CNN)Jeff King, a top political aide to his father and Iowa powerbroker, Rep. Steve King, has signed on with the super PAC supporting Ted Cruz, the organization confirmed to CNN Friday.
In what could be a signal for who his father — one of Iowa's most coveted endorsements — could eventually support, Jeff King is now consulting for one of the four main super PACs supporting Cruz, Keep the Promise I. That group, funded almost entirely by New York hedge-fund magnate Robert Mercer, launched its first advertisements this week and unveiled some of the operatives that will execute the group's paid-media campaign.

Former California tech executive Carly Fiorina has hired a top Republican National Committee spokeswoman to join her political action committee, another signal she is taking steps toward a bid for the White House later this year, CNN has learned.
Sarah Isgur Flores, the RNC’s deputy communications director, will leave the party group for Fiorina’s super PAC, Unlocking Potential, starting Monday. A Harvard Law School-educated attorney, she previously worked as the political director for Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz's campaign and advised presidential nominee Mitt Romney in 2012. Should Fiorina transition the PAC’s operations into a presidential campaign, Isgur Flores would serve as deputy campaign manager, according to the PAC.
