We need a candidate who has a proven desire to make government SMALLER.
That isn't Trump. His main message is we need to put better people in charge of running the government. The basic philosophy of liberalism is that we'll put smart people in charge of centrally planning our society who know better than the rest of us. Conservatism says that we'll shrink government and take its powers away because the people know best how to run their own lives.
Granted, I'll give Trump that he's said he'll let education be run locally. But that's why that's one of the 40% or so positions where he gets a solid conservative rating. Much of his message has nothing to do with saying government is the problem as Reagan did. It's all about saying the people running the government are the problem and he wants to put better people in charge. That's not the solution. If we don't dismantle the bureaucracy when we have the chance, liberals will simply use it to hammer our lives once they inevitably get control of it again.
“We need a candidate who has a proven desire to make government SMALLER.”
Heck he already got rid of the Crying Cheeto.
Now if he can get rid of Mr. Monkey Face in the Senate real quick we may get somewhere.
GO CRUZ GO
” If we don’t dismantle the bureaucracy when we have the chance,”
OK, good point.
My question is how would Trump dismantle the bureaucracy?
It takes action in Congress to do away or limit entitlements.
Trump has no experience working with legislative bodies to cause them to follow him.
How will he cause Congress to act?
