The infamous Ground Zero Mosque project is officially dead. We won. We the People.
Crains New York reports that the unsavory developer behind the Ground Zero Mosque initiative, Sharif El-Gamal, is now making different plans: “Mr. El-Gamal’s Soho Properties has proposed a 667-foot condominium tower at lower Manhattan’s 45 Park Place. The glass skyscraper, which has yet to break ground, will include at least 15 full-floor units of 3,200 to 3,700 square feet, and average prices higher than $3,000 a square foot, according to plans released to Bloomberg by the developer.”
If El-Gamal hopes to snag $3,000 a square foot, there is no way he would sneak a controversial mosque into a superlux apartment building at the site of the worst attack in American soil. Who would want to live in such a high profile target?
But El-Gamal’s announcement makes it official: The Ground Zero Mosque project is dead.
It was a long battle. President Obama announced his support for the mosque at an Iftar dinner, no less. Then-Mayor of New York City Michael Bloomberg supported the mosque as well, claiming hysterically that “if we don’t build it, the terrorists will win!” The media actively campaigned for it — the elites in their increasingly fragile ivory towers relentlessly stumped for the Cordoba mosque (euphemistically called an Islamic center with a prayer space) for years.
And yet despite all this opposition and much more, the people stood up and fought against the Ground Zero Mosque, and won. An army of Davids.

For your information - there is only one portion of a state that has no Mosque in it! The Upper Peninsula of MI has no Mosque! There is a very limited population of people in the UP of MI and it is shrinking. In Iron County when the Iron Mines were in operation, the jewish Synogogue was going strong, by 1967, the synogogue had closed its doors and became a private residence. The last Iron Mine was closed down in 1976. Otherwise every state in the Union has at least one Mosque in it. There is even a Mosque in North Dakota!
Zoning laws and micro-managing NY condo owners will probably prevent it. Have you ever seen the type of guys who go into storefront mosques in NYC? Once these unwashed types get into the elevators of a “lux” building you can be assured that the condo association is going to be harassed out of their minds by the owners. I think this is good development and Pam and Geert Wilders deserve a lot of credit.
But I agree: islam should be outlawed.

It is only because we won’t face the truth about Islam.
Islam is not simply a religion. It is a totalitarian, supremacist worldview that is incompatible with our Constitution.
It must be treated in the same way that Nazism is and was treated. Heaped with scorn and ridicule. It must be a disqualifier for public service employment. It must be a disqualifier for immigration into this country.
I’m guessing that apartment building will have a conspicuous atrium which features a crescent/star motif and perhaps an “eternal” flame arising from what looks like rubble....but that’s just me...

There is no way we can be certain this isn’t a ruse on the part of the Islamist that owns that property, as well the Leftist’s supporting him, and Islam.
Deception is high on the list of the immoral, the unethical means the Islamist, or the Leftist will, and does use to achieve a goal.
I will not celebrate until I read the governance of Islam, Sharia has been outlawed, and their executive has been deported, incarcerated, or even better..........

We never give up either. And we have beaten the tar out of them in history so convincingly it’s a joke that they’re even back thinking they’re going to make lasting headway now. There are going to be grapes planted in Saudi Arabia for the wineries that are going to be started to provide the champagne to celebrate their defeat. All it takes is the will to fight again. Get some.
