Exactly!

We have to be very careful regarding laws to reduce the threat of Islam to our nation.

Those same laws will be applied to Christians. They’ll be used for oppression.

A good rule of thumb is ask ourselves if we would want those laws applied to Christianity.

I personally think there should be monitoring of Islamic sermons and activity. Would I object to that being done in Christian churches? No. We’re not fomenting subversion and terrorism in Christian churches.

A law needs to be protective and yet not destructive of good.

It makes absolutely no sense to say that a law stopping us from letting in Muslim immigrants could somehow be used to stop us letting in Christian immigrants. Those goals are 100% opposite of each other. Anyone can pass any stupid law they want in the future. We have to not elect people who will do that.
