It’s an excellent plan, but the FAIR tax is even better.

Agree. And, it’s a start.
No one else gets as close to this, as he is.
It’s time!

I’ll take the good and defer the best until some day when it is viable.

Keeping a progressive tax code...even as good as it may appear is Ludicrous. We still have to deal with that smug @$$ IRS commissioner and all his mafia cronies that beat down productivity and strike fear into law abiding Americans
The prevailing wind is to scrap the progressive tax code for a fair or consumption type structure.
ABOLISH THE IRS.

I'd like the Fair Tax better if it didn't have the Prebate element in it. That gives the politicians a way to get their hand in the pot...again. I'd prefer a flat tax, absolutely no deductions and no transfer payments tied to the tax code. Friedman estimated that a 17% flat tax would generate more income than the current tax code. I think he's right. Also, a flat tax form could be done on a post card and the entire tax code could fit on a single sheet of paper and anyone who wanted to could read the entire tax code in a few minutes. Try that with the current code.

I just finished studying this plan in detail. It is awesome. I see some wonderful aspects. First the professional athletes will pay 250k out of every million!! So will the Doctor class. This is wonderful. They can't right off all those tax shelters any more. The Hedge fund guys will kick in millions!! The wonderful thing is that the voting middle class will either not pay anything or just 10% !! If we can make people pay zero this means they will not get their unearned income tax credits!! Super!!Before they were getting back far more that ZERO!!
NO DEATH TAX!!
Repatriation of off shore trillions at a low tax rate of 10% !! Money for investment and jobs.
I am fired up. This guy is way ahead of any other candidate on details and they are great details for the middle class of all races.

Income tax is just wrong. Fair Tax actually has big consumers ( the cash economy, the rich, the criminals- some overlap here- ha!)would really pay and savings would be rewarded.
Can't imagine a conspicuous consumer would be in favor.
To: Trapped Behind Enemy Lines
But the fair tax isn’t going to happen.
Trump’s plan at best will happen with modifications, but given that, it may well happen.
To: Trapped Behind Enemy Lines
Its an excellent plan, but the FAIR tax is even better. ANY move in the direction of cutting taxes and backing off Government control is welcome news. It's a genuine start.

One step at a time.
The left has used incrementalism against this country for decades.
We can use it against them too.

If he does pull this off, this will return the income tax back to closer to what it was when originally passed... whether that’s a good or bad thing who knows, but the original income tax when passed only hit the extremely wealthy most paid nothing.
In fact in todays dollars you would not pay a dime in tax until you hit 66K in income if single, and $88k if married filing joingly, approximately and the rate would be 1%.. the next rate up was 2% Starting at 440k and 3% at 1.1 Million.
I doubt Trumps plan will return us to those original rates, but that ought to give you an idea of how much the government bloat has been over the last century.

But what if Trump gets all these $20-30/hr jobs back to America and wages rise? Wouldn’t a lot more people find themselves with skin in the game by hitting a paying tax bracket? This isn’t a quick fix plan but a long term stratigic vision. Also gets people off the streets, In a factory and worn out so they go home and sleep instead of wandering around causing havoc.

When Paul Krugman ends up against the plan I’ll know it’s solid
