This is a basic populist “eat the rich” vote-buying plan (because, of course, everybody else is “the rich,” but never you yourself). Rewarding people for making less isn’t really the way to encourage anything.
Also, most people in that bracket already don’t pay much or anything and also get EIC.
I think they need to go to a flat tax. And get rid of the IRS.
And exactly what is needed. You'll get zero sympathy from millions of Americans on that.
Middle America has been economically gang banged for decades, and used and a GD punching bag as their standard of living declined while the rich got richer.
That bull shit needs to end fast.
Because Republicans fight taxes for the rich, the Democrats have been able to keep their donor base in tact. I’m not for tax the rich but I do think that someone making millions shouldn’t be paying a lower percentage than me either and that’s what’s been happening. If Trump can get a 25% rate through, they’ll live.
The millionaires are paying 39% now. How is cutting them to 25% having millionaires getting an increase?

Trump’s plan has a top in come tax rate of 25% (20% on Long Term Cap Gains and Dividends) currently the top income tax rate is 39.6%. It lowers the top tax rate, not increase it.
Wake up and stop promoting the Democrats!
