If they did him like they do Cruz, everyone would be saying Donald who?
Hes had an easy 300 million in gratis air time. If he set that up, what a strategist he is!
You're normally more savvy than this, e-s.
Trump was already a household name long, long before the election. He had a book called "The Art of the Deal" and a TV show called "The Apprentice"...so the normal MSM trick of "cut off the candidate's air time and define him ourselves" wasn't gonna work.
But they had to try anyway. Here was the idea, the MSM had it all figured out: get this, they'd have someone from Fox News ambush him, (he'll NEVER expect that), and here's the kicker: it'll be a woman! He can't even stand up to her without making the misogyny charge come true live on TV! What could possibly go WRONG?
But when they tried it and Trump told Megyn Kelly where to stick it -->
"Mr. Trump, why do you hate women--"
"ROSIE O'DONNELL!"
...*that* is when his popularity took off.
And the MSM and Jebusites have been whining ever since.
LOL, sounds like parasites.
Trump was a well known entertainer, not a leader, nor a politician.
There was no reason why they would not restrict his visibility were he not of their chosen few.
The coverage has advanced him into an arena where he has no qualifications whatsoever, and done him no harm. The scuffles were all comical in nature, and served to allow the networks to amplify him in every possible way.
It is disappointing to see that they snookered you so thoroughly with their nearly scripted picadillos. The effort to prop him up was so glaringly obvious to me, and most of the people that I associate with. Those skits were designed to boost his popularity.
As for the GOPe, they are at odds with anyone that attempts to get a foot in their door, and they are clearly displeased with all but their insiders: Bush, Rubio, Fiorina, Christy, and Kassic.
