Credit where credit is due for Rubio in recognizing this, but it isn’t exactly a surprise or a leap in logic - the US leaves a void, a Russia looking to reclaim its prominence leaps at the opportunity. The fact the Obama administration was apparently taken by surprise per this article is more a reflection on how pathetic Obama and his administration is more so than a reflection on Rubio’s wisdom.

Obama is really upset that his creation (ISIS) and the muslim brotherhood are about to get a lesson they should have been taught a long time ago.

I hope the Russians slaughter them.

obama turned his back on Egypt, destroyed Libya, took all the troops out and destroyed Iraq. Took the wrong side in Syria. He’s a disaster and a traitor.

Rubio is a terrorist supporter. He has called for the arming of 'rebels' for years in Syria. Rebels who are affiliated with AQ and other groups.

He is McCain with a accent.

Rubio has been paying attention and several other people have also commented on how Russia is taking over. The only strange thing is that Obama, who has done nothing about anything when it relates to Muslim terrorism, was surprised by today’s meeting.

Isolationism has always been a big US tactic, both on the right and the left, and most of our candidates of the moment on either side are bailing on the rest of the world. The problem is that we are not as far away as we once were (and, of course, Obama is inviting the enemy into our midst) and that we always get dragged in one way or another.

So we should have a position and a strategy, neither of which we have, except the Monty Python strategy...”run away, run away...” But it’s not going to work.

The biggest problem is not that Obama is weak, but that he’s playing for the other side. And nobody is opposing him.

Yes, but we can hold the other candidates to the same criteria or whether they would be as pathetic as Obama.
