Another affirmative action hire will be plugged in, whether or not they are qualified, perhaps a transgender, bi-racial individual who is mentally challenged. After all, these posts aren’t in any important places that could change into hot spots in five years…...

Probably discovered that unlike our current military situation; Russian forces don't play dress up Barbie in the barracks. And they don't have pin-up pictures of Bruce, Catilyn, Bob, Jessica, Cletus, Lucy, Jenner hanging on the walls.

You touch on an important point. The entire federal bureaucracy is infested with liberals and its going to take some serious housecleaning by Trump to remove them. It sounds like a simple job but its going to be a nightmare.

You can’t fire most of the lower level bureaucrats and they will resist him at every turn. Its also going to be challenging to find enough managers who are conservative who are willing to deal with this mess. It will years of professional frustration.

Not saying it can’t be done. But its going to be a monumental task.

An easier way is to simply wipe out entire agencies wholesale. There are 7400+ Federal Government agencies; there is overlap and duplicity all over the place. Trash half of these federal agencies as a start.

For the agencies remaining cut out all of the contracting work and give the new cabinet secretary firing authority for an across the board 20% cut in the workforce. Use the cut to get rid of the dead wood, political hacks, and underperformers.

Next step, have the cabinet secretary do a grounds up zero based staffing and budget plan with every budget line item prioritized. Then, using the 80/20 rule, cut out the bottom 80% of the budget line items. At that point the bureaucracy might be manageable.

And may that Pentagon official sing like a canary on steroids, leak like a sieve, and tell America just how sinister Obama really is.

It looks like she was a Republican before Obama brought her to his fold.

May be that Petreaus has recommended her to "The Donald".

If I'm wrong about her being a Republican, please let me know.

You can’t fire most of the lower level bureaucrats . . .

Fire them anyway. Is there an actual law? If so, ask the Congress to change it. They'll do it, in this atmosphere. All it takes is a majority, if you're the Prez.

Before that happens, if you cut departments, it doesn't apply, does it?

How worthwhile is it to get the skunks out of the yard? Target them and buy them out. Cheap at twice the price. If they won't go, reassign them somewhere boring where nothing important is happening, where they can be watched.

If it's Trump, it could easily happen. The mood of the country is wide open to this now.

You are absolutely correct about the overlap and its a much bigger problem than most realize. Waste in government is monumental.

Trump needs to appoint a czar who will identify waste and redundancies and make the case for consolidating and/or eliminating agencies. It can be done, but its going to be a huge job. A lot of agencies have powerful political constituencies behind them which is one of the reasons they survive. But we have to do this. It will save the taxpayers a ton of money and improve the quality of services in my opinion.

Russia Is Building A Massive Military Base On Ukrainian Border

The Daily Caller ^ | September 10, 2015 | Reuters

Russia is building a military base along the Ukrainian border, signaling its preparing for long-term support of the pro-Russian separatists fighting for Ukraine. The massive base - scheduled for completion in April - will house ammunition depots and barracks for several thousand soldiers, and will be used to train soldiers, reported Reuters. The Reuters reporter investigating the new base was temporarily detained and accused of being a Ukrainian spy. Russian officials didn't respond to Reuters questions about the purpose of the base and whether it's connected to the fight for Ukraine. ..."

Russia Plans Second Big Military Base Near Ukrainian Border
Reuters, via freebeacon.com ^ | September 23, 2015 | Anton Zverev

BOGUCHAR, Russia (Reuters) – Russia is planning a second major military base near the border with Ukraine, where NATO accuses Russian troops of helping pro-Moscow separatists fight Kiev’s forces.

The new base will house 5,000 soldiers and heavy weaponry, according to public documents and people working at the site.

It is further east than one under construction in Belgorod region reported by Reuters earlier this month but still close to the border with separatist-held parts of Ukraine’s eastern Luhansk region, where there has been heavy fighting.

The bases are part of a Russian military buildup along a new line of confrontation with the West, running from the Black Sea in the south to the Baltic in the north, which carries echoes of the Cold War-era “Iron Curtain”.

Russia has also increased its military presence in Syria.

Many Ukrainians believe you need look no further than the face of Viktor Yushchenko to understand Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

Once smooth and ruggedly handsome, it still bears the scars from an assassination attempt when someone slipped dioxin into Yushchenko’s food. ...”

Yushchenko: Russia blocking poisoning probe
by Bonnie Malkin and agencies, September 12, 2007

"Mr Yushchenko, a pro-European politician who wanted to bring his country [The Ukraine] out of Russia's shadow, fell seriously ill on September 6, 2004 as he was competing in presidential elections against a pro-Moscow candidate, Viktor Yanukovich, now [2007] prime minister.

After months of tests in an Austrian clinic, it was determined that he had ingested a massive amount of the poison dioxin.

Although he survived, his face was left bloated and pockmarked, and he has had to undergo regular treatment to rid his body of the toxin.

In an interview with Le Figaro he said he believed the dioxin used to disfigure him was made in a Russian lab.

Mr Yushchenko did not directly accuse the Russian government of being behind his poisoning, but he did say he had 'practically put all the pieces together' and the attempt against him 'was not a private action'. ..."
