This is how far we have fallen: an American mayor asks immigrants to America to become Americans and adopt American values, as all immigrants did in the past, and they're demanding his resignation. Of course, we've seen it many times: Muslims do not adapt. Non-Muslims must adapt to them. And so it is here. But if our society and culture were healthy, the President and politicians all over the country would be rushing to the aid of Lewiston's mayor, instead of letting him twist in the wind.

Under prior administrations Lewiston apparently had gotten a reputation amongst the welfare crowd as a good place to be. Relatively generous Maine benefits, combined with a low cost of housing (at least by New England standards). They were actually moving there from other states.

Group Proportionalism is the belief that all jobs should be filled by race in proportion to that races percentage of the population.

That being the case, a whole lot of people would lose their government jobs in America and be replaced by whites and Asians. Don't even get me started on retail venues and sports teams.
