I have been a member and contributor of FR for 27 years and 21 days (10 September 1998). I assume you were trying to be helpful.

I was commenting on an aspect of human nature that is warped, or perhaps simply immature, which is to weigh in with an inappropriate comment while the facts of the incident are not yet known. It's my opinion, not Gospel, but I think it best to express concern and seek all the details, at least in the immediate aftermath. There will be time enough for the irreverent humor.
