I agree with Khadafi. I disagree with Saddam. People have forgotten who it was before.

The mistake was arming ISIS, and removing the residual force from Iraq too soon. The mistake was trying to use Al Qaeda jihadists to go after our enemies without sufficient controls over their entirely predictable behavior.

That’s it in a nutshell.

It amazes me how quickly folks forgot who Hussein was and what he was up to.

Iraq will go down as the biggest blunder in American history

2.5 Trillion and counting plus 4k Americans dead, for what? ISIS and Iran to control that region?

I agree with you completely. I am sick of the MSM-led conflation of Bush’s and Obama’s Iraq policies, so that Obama’s debacle gets blamed on Bush.

I’m with you. Saddam had to go. He VIOLATED the agreements with the UN from 1991 that let him stay in power. The others, I’m still trying to figure out WHAT RIGHT we had to depose them - were they threatening us or our interests?

And I TOTALLY REMEMBER being warned about “US Imperialism” from my days at ESU. I guess that concern only applied when a Republican was in office.

Please remember that it was the Dems who said Saddam e removed from power.

And please note, that he was not assassinated like Khadafi...which is against international law.

And remember, that it was the UN that brokered the deal for the "cease fire" with Saddam after the Gulf War. And there were how many violations....14??

I still think Iraq was the right move. It closed the door to new terrorists. Look at the ISIS gains under Obama.

Iraq begged for help. Obama said....naw...you gotta do this yourself. It's just a little civil war.

Khadafi was a mistake. Egypt was a mistake.
