No this is not the world turned upside down, just President Ovomit’s “PIVOT”, “RESET”, “SOFTPOWER”, “Salem Alechem” to his Muslim Brotherhood and his hatred of Israel. All of this is now coming to a head...

"Hopefully no American military will follow his orders to attack Israel because of it."

RE: the following of such orders by the US, our military's response had better be all or none...Unfortunately, I would expect all. But I don't believe that Obama would order explicit strikes on Israel.

“They evidently fear that Obama might do something really stupid.”

Well yes but it will be here. He is going to deflect his ineptness by promoting “gun control” 24/7.

He might dabble a bit in international affairs and point out the Ruskies do not have transgender facilities on their warships.

I was actually thinking of a high speed “screen test” on the way to the police station.

” Hopefully no American military will follow his orders to attack Israel because of it.”

Israel recognizes its enemy and as bad as Assad is, his replacement would finish off what Obama started.

Why would he? He has been working to undermine Israel and make Israel's position more tenuous, and I'm sure he will continue to do so; he can hurt Israel without resorting to direct military action. Short of Israel starting something (a la the USS Liberty), I don't foresee a direct conflict between the US and Israel.

We've been training and equipping P.A. troops for nearly a decade. They are conveniently deniable, disposable, and in position. Why would he risk the backlash that would result from a direct US strike when he could use the P.A., or one of the other groups in the region (some of whom we have been likewise arming) who have an axe to grind?

Obama’s “punish your enemies and reward your friends” gangster politics has crippled the U.S. but it is backfiring internationally.

S-300s didn’t help last time the Israelis raided Syria...

I don't believe that the S300s were there when that raid occurred. And the S300s are under Russian, not Syrian, control.

You are right. Sorry.
The Israelis are looking at F-35s to ‘nullify’ S-300s.
Boy, are they gonna be disappointed...

2015 10 04 John Haller Prophecy Update “Chessboard”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIZH0vvuO3I

Published on Oct 4, 2015

The Persians invented Chess...but the Russians mastered it. This week’s update by FBC’s John Haller looks at the shuffling of power in the Middle East and the potential impact on Israel, the recent attack in Oregon that singled out followers of Christ and yet another ACLU lawsuit that demands that a Catholic hospital provide abortive services.

What is Putin up to, and how will the power void and projection of weakness unmistakably signaled by the US President affect events worldwide? So many pieces on the board are in play and the end times scenario is playing out right on schedule, just as God predicted. All the pieces are falling into place. Who will make the next move?

The Israelis are always ahead of the curve when it comes to technology. It wouldn't surprise me if they already had a method of circumventing the S300s which they haven't disclosed.

And if anyone can make the F35 into a successful fighter, it would be the Israelis.

Just something that I found on the Internet:

Even so, the regime does retain small numbers of advanced systems that are technically capable of taking out multiple simultaneous targets, including cruise missiles and highly maneuverable fighter aircraft. After Israel's unimpeded 2007 airstrike on the nuclear reactor at al-Kibar, Syria invested heavily in modern Russian systems to bolster its air-defense network. The focus was on upgrading the network's backbone, composed of Soviet-era SAMs from the 1950s and 1960s, including SA-2s, SA-5s, and SA-6s. Serious steps were also taken to upgrade the regime's SA-3s into a more mobile and digital system. In addition, Damascus acquired more sophisticated tactical SAMs, such as three batteries of the very capable SA-17 and three dozen of the close-range SA-22 systems that reportedly downed the Turkish jet in 2012.

So the answer is no, Syria never had anything advanced enough to counter a well planned, unexpected, peacetime attack of modern Israeli airplanes. Their SAMs were four decades old! It's miracle if they even were operational, if the maintenance could find the right vacuum tubes for them :-) Russia doesn't seem to have these anymore, except one SA-6 at a training facility and one at a base abroad.

Is that ship somehow unsinkable?

The Moskva and her sister Leningrad were built in the late 60's to operate ASW helicopters and CAP VERTOL jets (Yak-39's "Forgers", I think) in the Northern Fleet.

Time has passed them by, their aircraft are obsolete, and they're basically command ships with AA and (still) ASW functions and SSM's of some description. They're still marginally useful guide ships, IMHO.

.....probably because there were no S-300s deployed. The Tor-M1 is an okay short-range SAM, but it is no S-300.

I still believe the Israelis can find an effective solution against the S-300 (and similar) based IADS, and they have practiced against Greek S-300s, but it is an oft repeated error on FR that the Israelis hit Syrian S-300s. Syria simply didn't have them, and the system they had was a mix of S-125s and Tors, with the short range Tors being the most sophisticated SAM at play.

Wrong Moskva, that was decommissioned a couple of decades ago.

This one used to be called Slava, an Atlant class guided missile cruiser.
Armed with a whole crap-load of S-300’s.

Rebuilt and recommissioned in 2000.
