Donald Trump has boasted that he's "leading every poll and in most cases big." Not anymore. The latest IBD/TIPP Poll shows him in second place, seven points behind Ben Carson.
The nationwide survey found that 24% of Republicans back Carson, compared with 17% who say they support Trump.
Marco Rubio came in third with 11% and Carly Fiorina fourth at 9%. Jeb Bush, once considered a prohibitive favorite, ranked fifth with just 8% support, which was a point lower than those who say they are still undecided.
The IBD/TIPP Poll has a proven track record for accuracy, based on its performance in the past three presidential elections. In a comparison of the final results of various pollsters for the 2004 and 2008 elections, IBD/TIPP was the most accurate. And the New York Times concluded that IBD/TIPP was the most accurate among 23 polls over the three weeks leading up to the 2012 election.

What would be fun about a Carson win, would be calling liberals racists everytime they opposed Carson’s policies.

It's a bit more than 3 weeks until the election now, isn't it? Wasn't Hillary still a shoo-in at this point in 2007?
Our sense is that Trump and Cruz and Carson are respected. And in that order of preference right now. Any of them could get the nomination. Probably not most of the others. But who knows - it’s a long time yet. My idea - if any trouble of the above three were to team up — ??
If anyone thinks that Carson is in the lead —anywhere— then can I tell you about this great business deal I have?

Mr. Carson is a fine guy, but what would the reason be for a rise in the polls?

The last poll of IBD was not as accurate as Pew. What does the current pew poll say?
With numbers this low, even for the frontrunner, movements just within the margin of error can look like surges or slides in support. For example, Trump ranges from 25 to 30 points in most polls. The margin of error of +/- 5 can look like a slide or surge in support even for him, let alone everyone else. Therefore, it is really difficult to even be able to measure trends with this many candidates with their support his low.
You know when a pollster is spreading Bandini when they tell you how ‘accurate’ they are, especially when the facts question that accuracy.

As a side note to this thread please consider the following.
No president can get rid of activist justices. So it’s up to patriots to elect a non-RINO, conservative House majority, and a 2/3 non-RINO conservative Senate supermajority in the 2016 elections so that Congress can start removing Constitution-ignoring justices from the bench.
Two things about Trump..First I think he may be the only one of the bunch that can actually turn this country around...second he cant do it alone and he needs support in congress/public which at this point doesnt seem even close to possible. Time will tell.
I know two Carson supporters. My dad and a neighbor down the street. So much for your comment. You must know a very narrow group of people.
Exactly right, IBD is part of the cabal. Wall Street, Chamber of Commerce and Common Core. Wall Street doesn’t like Trump because he is going to give the street back to the people:)
