Trump: Anti-Rubio Ad Is 'Nothing Personal,' Just Payback
Newsmax ^ | October 05, 2015

An ad posted on Twitter mocking Florida Sen. Marco Rubio as "Little Rube" was nothing personal, says GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump, just payback for Rubio's attacks on him.

The ad, posted on Trump's Twitter account on Sunday, shows a picture of Rubio as an elementary school student contrasted to a recent photo of the billionaire businessman Trump appearing to adjust his cufflinks.

"Never Hire a Boy to Do a Man's Job," the ad is headlined.

"Marco Rubio seems like a nice boy," the copy begins. "Well mannered, but bought & paid for. JEB and the PACS sat him down and taught him all that fancy government stuff. 'RINO RUBE' repeats it well! Good boy!"

I think America is ready for politics to be de-personalized a bit. We’re sick and tired of the Alinsky crap.

Maybe I’m unusual but I’m really happy to see someone on our side personalize things for a change.

Besides, there’s substance in Trump’s criticism.

Or is it that US citizens need a good laugh with all that's going wrong? Trump has turned the nomination process into Candidate Apprentice and he's winning!

Rubio seems to have a good personality. He should get rid of his advisors and fire back with an equally humorous ad. If Rubio did that, he could get most of those mainstream votes. JMHO

The Rubio apologists tell us he was snookered by the Gang of Eight, so he is a rube.

OR....., he’s the weasel traitor that lies about amnesty.

Either way, no thanks.

Norman Braman (Rubio’s billionaire sugar daddy and a South Florida resident) and Trump (a seasonal Florida resident) are going to have some interesting exchanges when this is over.

Sorry. I like a lot of what Trump says, but his snarky attitude reminds me tooooo much of Obama. Where is the mature candidate, the one who professes the political solutions that Trump does, but isn’t so immature as to sink to kindergarten schoolyard bullying?

“Where is the mature candidate, the one who professes the political solutions that Trump does, but isn’t so immature as to sink to kindergarten schoolyard bullying?”

They are at 4% in the polls. Plenty to choose from, and are ready to wilt under the assault from the left that wont spend their time crying about “immaturity”.

>> Besides, there’s substance in Trump’s criticism. <<

He may have found a bit of substance to hook his criticism on, but only a God-damned fool would imagine that Trump isn’t mostly playing off of Rubio’s hair.

What has become a bit of a yawn is this fiction that Trump is trying to write ... that he never hits anyone first, he’s just responding to their attacks on him.

Shut up about that already.

Everybody is going to have to hit everybody. It’s how it works. And Trump knows it.

Only LIVs actually believe that he’s just responding and wouldnt do it otherwise.

This which came first, the egg or the hen, is tiresome.

At times I am not sure what to make of The Donald and his antics. I just know I would really really miss him if he were to leave the spotlight.

BTW, I also think he has more then enough substance to make a very good President. I want a non-establishment type to shake things up and turn this ship around.

If they are mature, they won’t wilt. They will come back with a classy response and carry the day with their maturity. And no, I don’t see anyone in the 4% who will/can do that.

I bet he’s one of those who plays pranks on people as a form of silent conversations.

I used to do that.

I’d rather hear why Trump’s tax plan is “better than” Rubio’s.

I’d also like to hear why Trump has NOT limited the Charitable Contributions deduction to — say — $1,000,000.

This limitation won’t harm any “middle-class” taxpayers.

However, it will keep the truly wealthy from using fraudulent appraisals of “charitable gifts” they make to cut, or totally eliminate THEIR income tax liabilities.

Really?

This is why we don’t win. The sentimental idea that a Regan quip and an aw-shucks smile does not disarm the leftist media machine of 2015.

These days you punch, and then you keep hitting until the other side will think twice before starting stuff that they can’t finish. That is why Trump is where he is, while the classy response guys are not.
