It used to be the snotty nosed 90 pound weaking who got beat up in the school yard returned to the 20th high school reunion as the wealthy entrepreneur or corporate executive, while the popular jocks were bald failures with beer guts. Being beat up in school provided a strong incentive to succeed in the real world.
With liberal conditioning the snotty nosed kid will be coddled and never have the incentive to succeed. Part of the globalist plan to have everyone equal in financial poverty and spiritual poverty.

First through sixth grades recess was added to burn off the energy kids have so they could calm down and pay attention.
Back in the fifties my elementary had several fenced off acres, mostly grass with a smaller asphalted area. Three teachers sort of watched over us, two for the two gates and a rover to catch injuries. Playground equipment consisted of hd steel pipe chain swings, heavy board see-saws, and steel monkey bars (try calling them that today) and several sandboxes for the youngest. Kids would split up into groups by themselves for dodge ball, tag, hop scotch, tag, or whatever. Bell would ring and we were herded to the doors, heads counted and then back to class.
Basic guiding principal was kids needed a break from teachers and vice versa while burning off energy.
The photo shows the monkey bars or jungle gym. We learned to hang upside down from our knees, hooking our feet behind the bars. Sit ups, though we didn't know it. King of the mountain tag was also played on the bars. Heaven forbid! We had some chubby kids, but no fat ones.
The foursquare we played when I was in grade school was sometimes a four square/dodge ball combination.
Yeah, most of us are of an age when we were left on our own for hours of “unsupervised” fun. We played on asphalt in the school yard and if we fell maybe the school nurse would hand out a band aid. Mostly the nuns would blame us for our own injuries due to the proverbial “carelessness.” Every boy I liked had a chipped front tooth. When was the last time you saw a kid with a chipped front tooth?
Sometimes we sound like the classic 4 Yorkshiremen!
Chipped teeth, yeah plenty of those back then. Had our share of knocked out teeth as well, along with the occassional nosebleed from dodge ball. Nobody, and I really mean nobody, ran to the teachers to complain. Skinned knees too numerous to count. Those got hydrogen peroxide and iodine paint.
Hardy little savages we were.
A few cents here, a few cents there and pretty soon you are talking real money!

Anyone else play “smear the queer” like we did in my elementary school during recess? This was early 1970s near Gulfport, Mississippi.
You realize they are talking about Minnesota here, the home of the largest Somalia population in the nation,especially in the Twin Cities area. When I see “more inclusive” I see “let the Somalian kids play too” I would bet that’s what this is all about. On the playgrounds I’ve seen at recess, the Somalian kids are standing or sitting by themselves, especially the girls and the American kids are running around playing.

I went to two one-room country schools. “Meadow View” closed, so we were moved to “Sunny Hill” about 4-5 miles away. I am in northern Minnesota, and we would sled down the “big, long hill” at most recesses and lunch time. We had to take turns looking for the rare vehicles and get our classmates to stop. Just think of the responsibility we were entrusted with! We did not wear helmets. I just love my memories at these schools; when I went to the public school-not so much!
