Terror Consultant Says ISIS Could Fall In Hours
Tammy Bruce ^ | 10-06-2015 | Pat S

Dr. Afzal Ashraf, a Consultant Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute, has long been saying ISIS’s strength is exaggerated— mostly because the Iraqi army caved.

From a BBC opinion piece written by Dr. Ashraf in September, 2014.

After the shock of Islamic State’s (IS) land-grab in Iraq, horrifying videos of hostage beheadings and the public debates about possible terrorist attacks at home and military action abroad, it is unsurprising that people are worried.

Collectively, these factors have made the threat of IS appear greater and the situation more pessimistic than it is.

Of course, IS should be taken seriously and stopped, but the situation is more positive than many think.

““If Bush would have done this at the outset, hours after 09/11, we wouldn’t have to worry about Islam or Islamic refugees pouring into Europe even.”

Opening some bottled sunshine in Saudi Arabia would have been the correct response.”

BINGO!!!

They (Obammy)need ISIS to “be gone” so maybe Russia will go away. I don’t think Russia is going anywhere anytime soon.

If ISIS is crashing over there, we are at the danger threshold here. Watch for a massive sleeper, awakening right under our noses. Be ever vigilant the next few weeks.

ISIS’s strength is exaggerated

Tell that to the Christians that are being crucified or raped/beaten in the streets or shot in the head, or having their throats cut. I think this "ISIS is exaggerated" comes from a group of morally bankrupt individuals who don't have a clue about what ISIS is or how to deal with it...pretending it will just die away because its so crazy. The problem, however, is the 1% of Muslims that actually applaud what ISIS is doing and there are pockets of them all over the world, like a slow eating cancer.

the whole idea that a few morons with some guns and pickups could take and hold entire cities never made any sense.

I could see a group like that conducting a gorilla war using raids and such.

But, no WAY can they EVER take and hold a city unless they are being allowed to.

The second they try to set up shop in a city the whole place would be a target rich environment. Not to mention the convoys moving in the open from city to city with no air protection, again completely vulnerable.

Russia has a lot of bombs. If we’re not going to use ours to stop the onset of Dark Ages II, they will.

"a gorilla war"

I think you mean guerilla war. Although I'd like see the ISIS scum torn apart by gorillas.

Exactly.
ISIL is the Obamatollah’s army. Remember all those payments going out to the muslime brohood from Lois Learner?
Our IRS paid money to these schithead,Christian-hating demons including Obama’s stepbrother.
And the weapons started flowing out of Bengazi.
The Obamatollah should be arrested for war crimes.

“ISIS’s strength is exaggerated”

It is exaggerated. You don’t judge a military force by how well it can slit the throats of civilians unfortunate enough to live in an occupied town.
ISIS strength IS exaggerated. Anyone remember the 300 Marines a few miles away from an ISIS army? Somehow they never got around to attacking them.
ISIS has no artillery.
ISIS has no air.
ISIS has no capability beyond a pickup full of bullies murdering nearly defenseless people.
ISIS has never faced a capable modern military. They are about to, and are about to be wiped out as a “force”.
The remnants will engage in terror bombings etc, but the days of ISIS convoys, and holding real estate are over.

That should have looked like the Stukas over Dunkirk.

Not only were the weapons flowing out of Benghazi, the attack in Benghazi was planned in part as a cover as to how the terrorist got the weapons.

Jihadists could be walking in all kinds of WMD over Obama’s open border. We’ll find out, probably after the Muslim is out of the White House.

The media will blame it on the Republican in office if there is one. Obama’s open borders will not be discussed as it is “racist.” If Trump gets in and it happens to him, he won’t play idiot to the finger pointing dems like Bush did with the 911 attack and the bankster shake down. Clinton set both of those actions in motion.

We created another terrorist “rebel” group to fight Ayssad. I think they were working with Isis. I think our government knew that and was playing around with the US effort to take Isis out.

For some reason Obama and his minions want the Middle East ravished with chaos and ruled by jihadists.

Sec. of State John Kerry said (in 2004 when he ran for president) that we'd have to just learn to accept a certain nuisance level of terrorism in the world.

The same people who point fingers at gun violence in America and want to prohibit gun ownership make tons of excuses for Islamonazism and don't want to tackle that issue.

A few hours is absurd. ISIS is in Iraq & Afghanistan. (as are other groups). If those countries invite Putin into their countries too and he agrees, it still won’t be over in a few months let alone hours.

And he hasn’t even started attacking ISIS yet

I hope you are correct....but I don't see anyone with the will to put a stop to them.

They are mostly a media/propaganda creation.

They won’t stand for a day against a real army.

Armies are worth very little if there is no political will to use them to advance your cause.
