I lived in the Chicago suburbs. On weekends, the Midwest hub for hippies was the corner of North Avenue and Wells, in Chicago. This neighborhood was known as Old Town, and was a cluster of head shops, weird hippie 'art' like dayglow posters, stretched Pepsi bottles, lava lamps, fringed leather everything, record shops, (And the Second City Improv Club, in Piper's Alley.).
Surrounding the shopping street, communal apartments, 20 or thirty mattresses, filled with "artistic escapees" from Dumpwater Iowa, teenaged runaways who had fled from all those parents who couldn't possibly understand the political pressures of being a liberal.
It was easy to get a lot. Then hop the BN commuter line, and back to a quiet home. Surprising how a certain degree of stress relief improves your grades. It's when I discovered that the lady in Walgreen's actually doesn't care if you buy condoms.
It might be interesting to ask those shriveled old hags in the tie-dyed skirts, today, if it was worth it.

Then they need to shut up about “rape culture”, because the only real “rape culture” is that of their cherished minorities. Western white males are almost to afraid to ask a woman out for coffee (slight exaggeration).
Usual leftist projection. Rape isn’t some handsome, attractive man being overpowered by his lust for your beauty, it is an ugly, frightening, painful, degrading act, usually by a man you wouldn’t open your door to, using you as the the easiest target he could get, as the equivalent of a toilet.
Her killers were freed as part of the Truth and Reconciliation Process. Biehl's family supported the release of the men and her father shook their hands, stating:
"The most important vehicle of reconciliation is open and honest dialogue ... we are here to reconcile a human life which was taken without an opportunity for dialogue. When we are finished with this process we must move forward with linked arms."
You can't be born with that depth of stupid. You have to work at it.
And contrary to the oft-repeated conservative proverb that “a conservative is a liberal who has been mugged”, these people are impervious. Not even the horrific murders of their own children teaches them anything. When you reward the murderers of your own daughter, even after they showed their lack of remorse by publicly laughing at the descriptions of her dying agonies, there’s no hope for you.
