A woman is in a Tuscaloosa hospital and four men are behind bars after a reported gang rape.
Three of the suspects are students at the University of Alabama, police said this afternoon. The victim is a student as Shelton State Community College.
Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit investigators were called to a home in the 5500 block of Old Montgomery Highway about 10 a.m. Tuesday on a possible sexual assault. When they arrived, the learned the unresponsive 22-year-old victim had been taken DCH Regional Medical Center, said Capt. Gary Hood.
Witnesses told lawmen they found the young woman unresponsive in an apartment. They said she was knowingly drinking a beverage which had a controlled substance in it with some friends at the apartment the night before. Hood this afternoon said the drink was a combination of fruit punch and Xanax.
Those witnesses told investigators the victim passed out in the bedroom of 20-year-old Donald King. They reported that King and three others had sex with the victim while she was unconscious. Hood said three of the suspects were in the room with the victim all at the same time.
“She woke up at the hospital and doesn’t recall anything,’’ Hood said.
Hood said all of the suspects admitted to having sex with the victim, and one of them admitted that she was unconscious when it happened.
The victim was admitted to the hospital overnight for monitoring, but her injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening. Hood said she had physical injuries from the sexual assault.
Those charged with first-degree rape are: King; Eddie Harris Jr., 19; Fredrick Shaw, 18 and DeAndre Dussett, 25. Hood said Dussett may face additional charges by the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force. King, Harris and Shaw are UA students.
“If you don’t drink alcohol, you reduce your chances of becoming a (sexual assault) victim by 99.9 percent,’’ Hood said.
If you leave the Xanax out of the fruit punch, I'd bet your odds are even better.
Obama’s sons. All should be convicted and executed.
Shortly after college we had a big party at our rented farmhouse. Rented a hot-tub. One young gal (real flirty and really cute in her bikini) passed out. We locked her in the bedroom. After one guy jimmed the door open to get to her, me and a buddy hung out in the hallway, and checked in on her from time to time. The one guy was relentless, and we threw him out.
We were stupid kids, but at least not THAT stupid.
absolutely. xanax and alcohol together are a combination where you wake up and have had quite the evening with no recollection at all of what you have done.
at about 25 years of age, I worked a kitchen job where the chef would come in and just tear you to shreds for the smallest thing. I ended up with anxiety that would have me puking from nerves in the twenty minutes before I knew he was coming in. A doctor gave me a xanax prescription and just said “take one in the morning before you start to feel nervous”.
Worked great for that, made me not worried about the visit from the chef at all. It also made me forget completely to do like three of my thirty prep items that I had done every day for months. I’d rather be nervous and in control of what I needed to get done than to just completely not remember to do a task I’d done every morning for nine months.
I guess the question was one of if she knew the effects of the drug...and the likelyhood of the outcome. Still, it takes two to tangle...
what an ugly group....
A lack of moral compass makes men savages.
Ann Coulter often points out when race isn’t mentioned, it is clear what race the perpetrators are; wonder what race the girl was.
No information on what positions they play, as of yet.
These are not football players.
Do they now holler ‘Roll Tide!’ in Tuscaloosa?
And their season tickets taken away.
Yep media won’t be covering this one..four Obama sons rape a woman(Who wants to bet the woman was white)
Surprising.
So, “Teens”
