Annise Parker hits back at Lance Berkman for anti-HERO advertisement
Houston Chronicle ^ | October 7, 2015 | John-Henry Perera

Posted on 10/08/2015 5:11:00 AM PDT by pkajj

Mayor Annise Parker took a moment on Twitter to bash former Houston Astros star Lance Berkman after he voiced opposition toward the city's equal rights ordinance known as HERO. In late September, Berkman recorded an advertisement for the Campaign for Houston PAC, a group that is opposed to HERO. "My wife and I have four daughters," Berkman says in the ad. "Proposition One, the 'bathroom ordinance,' would allow troubled men to enter women's public bathrooms, showers and locker rooms. This would violate their privacy and put them in harm's way. That's just wrong."

The mayor called Berkman a hypocrite for not speaking out against equal rights ordinances for not criticizing equal rights ordinances in other major U.S. cities where he's played ball.

Lance Berkman played in St. Louis.

Guess his girls didn't go to his games! SL has a non-discrimination ordinance.-A http://t.co/gzEbKIYOd9 — Annise Parker (@AnniseParker) October 5, 2015

Did you forget that a big part of Houston elected Sheila Jackson-Lee too? Even in Texas we have our share of dumbasses.

About 5-6 years ago Berkman was acquired by the Yankees with great fanfare. He didnt last long as his contribution consisted almost entirely of striking out or hitting into double plays. It became a joke among Yankee fans where I worked. With this comment he hit a home run.

The dyke’s campaign was out of state funded just as the support for this drag queen ordinance is funded by homofascists outside of the area.

That carpet cleaner mayor is going to have her butt handed to her when The City of Houston gets hit with multiple milion dollar lawsuits over aggravated sexual assaults / rapes that occurred because of her gender neutral bathrooms. Its not a matter of if but when. The PC crap has got to go. Its lying to excuse bad behavior any way you look at it.

Yeah, but in Texas isn’t there a technicality to get you out of homicide charges if the guy ‘needed killin’ ?

This is the same newspaper that didn’t cover the Enron corruption because they needed Ken Lay’s support to get the billion dollar stadium referendum passed.

The downtown Democrat business establishment is rotten tot he core.

LBJ held a letter from the Houston Comical that they would not criticize his policies in exchange for permitting a bank merger to go through.

They’ve been corrupt for a very long time.

She pulled this same crap when the voters wanted a say against the red light cameras.

She fought the proposition even getting on the ballot.
She renegotiated the contract renewal in favor of the private company to try to make it harder for the city to break its contract.

Red light cams = taxpayer scam; taxpayer funds used to pay for your own misery in the name of primarily feigned safety concerns using automated moneymakers. If they could get away with it they’d have ambulances screaming through traffic forcing people to run red lights. Those companies are known for selling the cams as a big moneymaker but they take almost half the revenue themselves and penalize you bigtime if therearen’t enough red ligh runners. I’ve heard its a general practice for them to donate to the decisonmaker’s purses and give nice inducements as well.

Much of the Greater Houston Metro Area is not in Houston City Limits.

He actually had a relatively decent first half of the season, but age and the dog days of summer finally caught up to him.

If it was about safety, why is it there are no police stationed to watch for red light runners at those identified ‘problem areas’?

And also short the Yellow light so more people would be caught. I think that is the reason DC voters went ape over them several years ago and got them stopped.

U of T college forced to cut gender-neutral bathrooms after ‘peeping’ incidents
LifeSiteNews ^ | 10/7/15 | Steve Weatherbe
http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3346156/posts

TORONTO, October 6, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) - The University of Toronto’s elite University College has been forced to recognize the existence of two genders and re-establish separate washrooms for male and female students sharing its co-ed residences.

The move was provoked by two separate incidents in mid-September of male students holding their cell phones above the shower stall dividers in so-called gender-neutral communal washrooms at Whitney Hall, a co-ed residence at the University College, to record female students showering.

“Given the serious nature the incidents of voyeurism that occurred in September, and the impact on directly affected students we made the decision to designate some washrooms in Whitney Hall for those who identify as men and some for those who identify as women,” U of T spokeperson Althea Blackburn-Evans told LifeSiteNews.

Blackburn-Evans explained that “the purpose of this temporary measure is to provide a safe space for the women who have been directly impacted by the incidents of voyeurism and other students who may feel more comfortable in a single-gender washroom in the wake of these events. “ Half the washrooms at Whitney Hall remain “gender neutral.”

For more than 20 years students attending University College have known they would have to use gender-neutral washrooms—albeit with individual and not communal shower stalls—with the exception of a single, all-female floor in Morrison Hall.

“Students are aware of the gender-neutral washroom facilities when they choose to apply to the college,” Blackburn-Evans told LSN, “and they have the option of attending one of the other six colleges on the St. George Campus if they would prefer a single-gender washroom environment.”...

Lezzies like Anise Porker Tubbo tend to project their hatreds against those whom they deem “breeders”.
