McCarthy's demise comes hard on the heels of Boehner bowing out of the speakership as a sort of human sacrifice to the tea party right. And it happens as Donald Trump is in the midst of his fourth consecutive month as the Republican front-runner for the party's presidential nomination -- and with Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina, two other people who have never held elected office before, running in second and third place, respectively.

I’m not sure how much the direction of this country can be changed as of yet. I still see most Americans as getting more leftist. However, this is a long time coming and I’m glad it’s happening. I’ve been wanting some stiffer resistance to the GOP Establishment for a long time. I hope they are put on notice. There must be a right-conservative alternate voice (even if it’s calling from the wilderness).

Look life after the House is good for $25-$50M as a lobbyist. Unless yo are are the damaged, having an affair House member thats going to blow up in ur face. Then you are worth much less. Thats what they're all there for. For GOPe, first to live off the crumbs the Rats though on the floor. 2nd, lobbyist gig. He was read the riot act....live as a bencher and cash in. Or, lose it all when proof of the relationship with Ms Teaparty-R,NC comes out.

All the House Republicans have to do is start fighting a la Trump or Cruz and they will win 80% of the battles. They need to tell the media to go screw itself like Trump does and they simply need to fight and they will be surprised how the democrats give up even Obama will fold.

The democrats are weak before the strong and strong before the week.

Get a new crop of Republicans that are ferocious and the democrats will fold and evaporate. They will not know what to do. They are cowards.

"...I do not think political anarchy is a good thing."

As compared to what we have now, a lawless and unrepresentative government? If the choice lawlessness mascarading as legitimate governance, I prefer honest anarchy to what we have now. A bunch of perfumed criminals pretending to be our betters. At

The left side of her face is a half inch lower than the right. Did she have a stroke? Or melt slightly?

Then perhaps the Tea Party people should ease up just a bit on their “All or Nothing” / “off with their heads!” approach to governance.

Joke post? The only one who has consistently taken an all or nothing, off with their heads approach to governance is the narcissistic Kenyan man child sitting in the White House. It is he after all who threatened to veto the entire federal budget and shut down the government if the budget did not contain massive tax payer money for a criminal private outfit called Planned Parenthood.

Tom McClintock was just on FOX bus blaming the freedom caucus for everything.

This was a heartbreaker for me. I thought he was totally straight and not one of the sellouts.

Is this stuff verified? Pretty amazing that someone with a big blonde skeleton in his closet would let himself get to such a prominent position. Bob Livingston, Newt Gingrich style

Her legal team sent a Cease and Desist to gotnews.com

http://gotnews.com/breaking-gotnews-com-hit-with-cease-desist-letter-for-mccarthy-ellmers-affair-story/

They told the lawyers to piss off:

“GotNews.com stands by its story regarding the DC, NC, and Bakersfield rumors regarding an alleged affair between Congresswoman Renee Ellmers and Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy. We look forward to the opportunity to avail ourselves of deposition with seated members of congress should it come to that.”

These WASHINGTONIAN douchebags think they can get away with anything.

Times are changing.

Meanwhile DHS is busy using taxpayer dollars to put this info on the Wikipedia sites of the star crossed couple.

Charles Johnson is, of course, a slimeball, but sometimes that’s what it takes to be good at the job he’s doing.

Until someone comes up with a better reason than, “McCarthy was scared of a handful of Freedom Caucasians” I am going to assume that this affair was what made him drop out today.

The real scandal is that as of this moment I still have not heard CNN or Fox even mention Renee Elmers.

“Free Press” is not the MSM,

Unfortunately a large part of the GOP Caucus would rather have their choice for Speaker win with Dem votes than have a Tea Party type.

Paul Ryan will be the next Speaker and although he is not perfect he is way better than this idiot McCarthy.

No, you are not! After Boehner quit, I said it wouldn’t have happened if the Trump phenomenon didn’t give the House conservatives courage.

More re from the article backing you:

“If you are Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio or John Kasich, what happened on Thursday in Washington should put a lump in your throat. The Republican establishment has been operating for months — really since the rise of Trump — under a belief that, eventually, things will return to “normal” and that the party will put forward an establishment candidate for president. That was the same wrong-headed thinking I heard constantly in the run-up to today’s speaker vote: Yeah, sure, conservatives weren’t sold on McCarthy, but the alternatives weren’t any good or serious, and so he would win. Nope.

This threat to the establishment from the conservative activist base is real. The sooner the establishment realizes it — and the resignation of Boehner/demise of McCarthy should help them get it — the better chance they will have to combat it. But, I also think that the possibility exists that the establishment doesn’t have the ability to put down this revolution. Which is an amazing thing to ponder as the country gets ready to elect a new president in 13 months time.”

I heard a caller on Mark Levins show today say,......Le's see......the Speaker's hand chosen heir apparent does not have the votes.........there are 2 other people in the caucus running for the office, but Boner does not like them....so he adjourns the meeting......sort of like Saddam Hussein did or the way the Mullas in Iran do or a hunt in central America do when or like Chavez did in Venzuela did......this seems to be what it has come to with this Republican rino crowd.

Now Boner convenes to chose another hand picked boy to run it the way he ran the place.

The Conservative Caucus needs to cut nuts and get very angry. Hold the Line. Do not let the line faulted. FREEDOM!!!!
