And that person will be Paul Ryan.

From my perspective, he’s a win/win. Of all the candidates being considered he would do the most lasting damage to the gop. The fact that he would be elected by an overwhelming majority of the gop in the house is just further testament to their hatred of conservatives and everything we stand for. This would in turn give great momentum to a “stay home 2016” movement.

The margin of loss in the house and senate in 2016 will be epic for the gop and it would help break conservatives of their voting habit. What’s not to like? It’s not like the house and senate are going to have a sudden change of heart and do anything remotely conservative anyway. Whoring is what whores do. They aren’t going to change.

"Agreeing to reinstate the so-called Hastert Rule, which automatically raises the debt ceiling in order to avoid further debt ceiling showdowns..."

The "Hastert Rule" (the Speaker of the House will not allow a floor vote on a bill unless a majority of the majority party supports the bill) does not directly affect the "debt ceiling".

To the extent that it has an indirect effect, suspending the rule (which is currently in effect) would increase the chances that the debt limit would be raised, which is the direct opposite of the authors opinion as stated.

“Here is a novel concept. Remember it is the VOTERS who send you back to the House.”

What you see is what you get. This is what voting has gotten conservatives. Take a hard look at the fruits of the electoral process.

We would be far better off picking people at random out of the phone book.

An obamaesque conservative government is not going to happen and is undesirable because it will not last longer than two years.

If we lose the House again we will never get it back. Immigration has destroyed any hope of remaining anything that even remotely resembles a Republic. Even if Trump wins and we lose the House they will re-discover the power the GOPe claims they don't have, and shut Trump down.

We never had the house in the first place. Nasty nancy never gave up control. It’s one big, chummy uniparty. And conservatives need not apply.
