A Georgia grand jury formally charged 15 members of a group supporting the Confederate flag on terror charges following a July confrontation with a black family who was celebrating a child’s birthday, according to an indictment released Monday.
Douglas County District Attorney Brian Fortner said members of the “Respect the Flag” group violated the state’s Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act and made terroristic threats when their caravan of vehicles bearing the rebel flag drove past a neighborhood party.
“We do want to say that we respect the rights of all citizens to exercise their First Amendment right, but we’re going to require them when they’re doing that to respect the right of all of the citizens to feel safe,” Fortner said at a news conference attended by FOX5.
The indictment, handed up on Friday, also charges two members of the group with battery for a separate incident that occurred at a gas station on the same day. While video of the Confederate convoy has made its way onto social media, there are two drastically different depictions of what occurred on July 25, with each side blaming the other for generating hostility.
This much is not in dispute: numerous pickup trucks, adorned with several large American and Confederate flags, formed a caravan and drove into a neighborhood where a birthday party was being held for a child.
Levi Bush, who was part of the procession, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in July that the motorcade was making its way back from a nearby event when it drove through the area. Kayla Norton, another member of the group, told FOX5 that party-goers began throwing objects at the trucks and making threats.
People from the birthday party contend that “Respect the Flag” participants yelled racial slurs and flashed guns.

I remember stories just last year of the black lives matter movement invading restaurants where “white” people eat and harassing them while they ate their dinner.
I would say that was just as terrorizing, if not more.

The flashing of guns, if it actually occured probably forced the de-escalation of the incident by the reactionaries - aka; the ever-innocent, din-do-nuffins.

There is no jury in Georgia that will convict them of terrorism. The DA is looking more like Mike Nifong every day.
I didn’t read it was about a flag, it was about harassment. Unfortunately, the Confederate Flag was mentioned but one never knows if the harassing group was a real group of supporters of that flag or a fake group setup to taint the history of that flag.
Leftists have a long history of psychological warfare and that entails attacking history and revising it to suit their ends. Just this morning there is a report about students wanting a statue of Thomas Jefferson removed from campus because he was a racist, a slaveowner etc.
These attacks will continue until patriots find an effective way to push back. I see respect for the Confederate Flag as respecting America’s history, not as a symbol of racism. But leftists will use it to drive a wedge into the American culture for as long as there is no pushback from Americans.
One approach to push back is to fold in with the MLK Birthday holiday a day of civil war remembrance to all the Americans that died and suffered in that war on both sides and to allow and call for flying on that day the American Flag with the Confederate Flag below or just to its rear.
I’m seeing this Confederate Flag attention (stoked by leftists) as a way of keeping whites and blacks from unifying on the devastation of the leftist program of flooding America with third worlders to compete with native Americans for scarce jobs. As long as the two races are at loggerheads, neither will stop to resist the ongoing destruction by the anti-American left.

But “Kill white babies” isn’t a terroristic threat, stalking polling places carrying billy clubs isn’t a “terroristic threat”, puke puke puke. The more they push, the more I’m going to push back, and the harder I’m going to push, doing things I wouldn’t have thought of before, like flying the Confederate flag at my house. For me, doing anything less is letting them win.

We are counting down to CWII. Between the blatant attempt to destroy Southern heritage and culture coupled with forcing Muslim refugees/invaders into our communities something is going to explode. I don’t know that we will even make it to the 2016 election.

IF you had bothered to read the article, no one was arrested at the time of the incident, which leads one to conclude none were drunk. And this also draws into question the claims of “flashing guns” as well.
Regardless of whether or not they’re fools, the fact that they’re being charged with terrorism for waving a flag is a dangerous precedent, a very dangerous one.
Both sides would have been well advised to grow a hide and deal with the fact that they’re on opposite sides of what the leftists have made an issue of.
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton remains un-indicted over National Security breaches.
