Then, even if you can find one of the gibs-me-dats that sort of grasps the concept, frequently they’ll attempt to change the discussion to how it doesn’t matter anyway, because the gov just prints more money and the corporations are thieves, etc., and to some degree, they are correct. If the fed reserve can *print* billions out of thin air, devaluing every dollar in every pocket and on every computer screen, the banks and all whom they give it to actually are sort of getting it for *free*, except that it isn’t free since it devalues the dollars in our pockets.
