Gungrabber Clinton-crony McAuliffe will have to quietly rescind much of his order when the state police comes back in a few weeks and tells him that it does not have the resources to do what he's demanding.
To: Timber Rattler
Sue him for violation of our civil right to bear arms.

orders state police to request a trace of every gun involved in a crime in Virginia. PFFFFT! HAHAHAHA! My neighbor is a forensic scientist for the county. She does a lot with firearm "fingerprinting" and tracing of crime guns, but they could never trace EVERY gun used in a crime.

Well, really what he’s doing is just setting up some more bureaucracy to enforce laws that are already on Virginia’s books, thus adding to the State Police’s workload.

Attention crazies, government buildings in Virginia invite you to do that voodo that you do so well.
To: chris37
If he conspired to violate the civil rights of Virginians, that is civilly actionable, too--on all parties.
Nothing like a politician compounding tragedy with stupidity.

If we had a decent DOJ, McAuliffe would be indicted and convicted for his scam and recipient of Obama’s money for the defunct “green car” plant in NW Mississippi. He was the CEO and was paid handsomely for it and it went bankrupt within a year.
To: rarestia
Yep, there’s no way that the State Police can possibly do a trace on EVERY gun used in EVERY crime in the state.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but zero mass killings were committed by a killer open-carrying a firearm. Banning open-carry will ensure that the next mass killer need not fear encountering armed victims.

If we continue to let these people rule us via executive orders, then that is what they are going to do.
The choice is to let him get away with it to fight him 100% of the time for every inch to the point that he gives up, much like the GOP has given up.

This is a law that will not be enforced, until, Soviet style, they are trying to get you into custody and need something convenient to charge you with.

Why all the guff?..Just outlaw outlaws from owning illegal firearms and post strongly worded letters explaining the consequences should they commit a crime with said firearms.

The order also establishes a statewide tip line to report gun crimes... I'm sure the gangstas are going to turn in their homeys.
But just to be PC let's pit neighbor against neighbor.

He just opened up state buildings as a shooting range ... not only banning open carry, but CCW.
Within 30 days of the date of this Executive Order, the Director of the Department of General Services (DGS) shall issue guidance prohibiting carrying weapons openly in offices occupied by executive branch agencies.
I further order the Director of DGS, within 30 days of the date of this Executive Order, to propose regulations to ban the carrying of concealed weapons in offices occupied by executive branch agencies, unless held by law enforcement, authorized security, or military personnel authorized to carry firearms in accordance with their duties.
