Plenty of Orthodox women wear skirts to the gym where I work out. Never had any problems with “getting caught in ellipticals” or any other such nonsense. Most gym equipment seems to have tangling problems associated with the arms, not the legs. How can you get tangled lifting weights? Using a leg press? Using the various pieces of equipment having you lift weights with your arms? Seems to me that this gym was looking to make trouble, even though the young lady tried to be accommodating. Besides, Lucille Roberts gyms are crap, with worn equipment and don’t even begin to give a really rigorous workout. Also, I found the “ladies” there to be very trashy and low. The locker room was a scandal. I am much happier at the gym where I work out now. Very clean, you can do your thing, and not a word from anyone.
I am laughing.
Why do Orthodox Jewish women have to go to a gym in the first place?
Don’t they get enough exercise, chasing after four or five little ones; going to market (no car—walking about 2 miles while shopping); standing on feet fixing Kosher meals and Sabbath meals; cleaning house, etc. etc. etc.
And then after sundown...the guy in the bed.
No rest for the weary.
Times sure have changed!
