DENVER (CBS4) – Peyton Manning is showing his support for one of the Republican presidential candidates.

The latest campaign filings show Manning contributed $2,700 to Jeb Bush’s campaign. That amount is the maximum an individual can donate to any campaign committee.

Manning’s brother Eli already donated the same total to the Bush campaign earlier this year.

Good one! Peyton’s check to Jebbie was INTERCEPTED and ran all the way back, by Tom Brady, to the Trump Tower in NYC.

...Peyton sings to the tune of the Nationwide commercial...

Wish I could breathe through my nose.
I would not eat so many bugs.

My ugly mug would make a train
Jump the track for a dirt road.

Wow. That deserves a thread of its own.

Everybody puh-leeze stop making excuses for these guys. The Manning brothers know exactly who and why they're making political contributions to. The two of them are not illiterate nor do they live under a rock.

I know this and still will be a Peyton Manning Fan to the end. He’s just a winner as a human being and a AWESOME Quarter back! My Dad told me the story of the Mannings a long time ago. I was his only daughter out of the two of us,that LOVED football and politics as much as him.

I thought Payton was smarter than to support Bush.

As for throwing money away.... He helped build a children’s hospital here.

(Sung to the tune of the Nationwide Insurance Company)

Shoulda gave to Donald Trump...

lol!

Or maybe it wasn't Peyton who gave that money to heb!, but instead it was the high-pitched-voice Peyton from the DirectTV commercials. As he says at the end of the spot, "don't be that me".

Peyton is a gold mine for advertisers.

Hopefully he'll be a gold mine for the eventual GOP nominee, because it sure as heck won't be boosh.

Why was it throwing money away to build a children’s hospital in Indy?

No, no... Not what I meant. I was pointing out that Peyton spent his money on important stuff, unlike a lot of NFL players who go the frivolous route.

He owns a bunch of pizza businesses(PJohns?).

Trump might take a jab at him this week to tweek him about Brady having more Super Bowl wins.

“Manning’s brother Eli...”

Technically, “brother” refers to a male sibling, unlike Liz.
