LOL!
A lot of great clips in that movie.
Say what you like about McD’s but their sausage, egg and cheese biscuits really hit the spot right about this time of day.
Burger King and Hardee’s/Carls’s Jr. also have a great breakfast lineup.
Way I see it, folks have been predicting McD’s demise since around 1960 and will still be predicting its demise in another ten to twenty years from now. Like with all the “end times” predictions, they will eventually be right.
You acting like a liberal: Pathetic!
Lunch circa 1970...one regular burger, three regular fries (back when they were tasty), and CHANGE from my dollar.
People don’t go to a McDonald’s for fruit or reduced-fat fare Mrs. Obama. They go to get burgers, fries, and shakes served up on the go. And there is nothing wrong with those things in moderation.
It’s roots are in California? I thought it was Illinois.
Yup.
Free whataburger everytime I buy a whataburger!
Ok...I know this is nitpicky but what bugs me right now and this is not only limited to McDonalds is the use of video screens for the menu. You’re looking and trying to decide and suddenly the menu goes poof and there is now a promo ad for a certain item, contest or whatever and you have to wait for the menu to return while the various screens scroll through. It’s just another frustration in a less than ideal dining experience.
Thanks for setting me straight on that. I always thought the original McDonald’s store was in Des Plaines, IL.
Cook the fries in beef tallow and people will come back.
Its as simple as that.

Also, the rules about cooking burgers until they are tasteless hockey pucks. Yes, I know: salmonella. I cook cheap hamburger at home and eat it barely seared. I’m 72 and have NEVER had food poisoning except once from a tepid Korean buffet line.
Also, the prices are out of line for the product. If I’m going to be charged as much as a sit down leisure food restaurant, I’ll just go to the leisure food place.
It isn’t just McDs. ALL the fast food burger joints are tasteless and too expensive. All because of government regulations and pandering to idiots.
It doesn't take listening to liberals to stop eating at McD's. My family stopped going to McD's for two primary reasons. 1) The taste of the food has changed. 2) We can get much better tasting food from other chains for roughly the same price.
Well, okay, there's a third reason. We can eat much better tasting food for a whole lot less money when we eat at home.
actually it is not happening and the bias that mostly raises self esteem is totally unfounded
The food is crap.
I knew McD was going down when they stopped doing their fries with tallow. After that, they smelled different and tasted very different.
Thumbs down!
The first time I ate a McDonald’s cheeseburger in 1967 here in Clarksville, TN. Across from the location is a Shoney’s which at that time was called Shoney’s Big Boy. I preferred Shoney’s Big Boy’s cheeseburger over Mickey D’s 10 to 1
Total per ticket is off. So that means less $$$ from every customer. Around her two egg mcmuffins is $3.55 with tax. A buck for lukewarm coffee and you have a meal for under $5. A quarter pounder with cheese is $4.65 and a buck for a drink and you are over the $5 mental barrier.
Can’t believe it! First 100 posts and no mention of Steak & Shake.
Like Walmart, McDonalds went ghetto as a new marketing strategy a while back.
Let me know when you come up with a food business idea that sells billions of anything.
I’m thinking a lot of McDonald’s business is repeat business.
There are times when folks on the forum say things that destroy themselves.
Yours to me here was a case in point.
