Cheney thankfully speaks out against the Ohole Regime on a regular basis.

Well, no. The unions represent the interests of the union bosses who take member dues and use the money to help Democrats get elected in gratitude for which the Democrats legislate to help unions stay in power. It is a circle of corruption.

The solution is not gloBULLism and off shoring our industrial base to third word.

I’m reading Cruz’s book, “A Time for Truth”. I don’t have the book in-hand, but remember reading how Cruz and Abbott challenged W at the Supreme Court......and won! Had something to do with World Law and giving up U.S. Sovereignty/U.S. Law......W grudges perhaps?

Free trade = capitalism
Fair trade = socialism

For most of the 19th Century through early 20th century, the US had high tariffs, and the Federal Government derived most of its revenue from tariffs. Does that make 19th Century America “socialist”?

Of course not. The founders, even the big planter types, were protectionists.

If you disagree then you are a Free Traitor™

Funny we have a zero tariff policy but our exports to the world a all tariffed. It i not a trade war if only one side fights.

One thing we know about the Bushes, they keep grudges.

If I were running for President, I'd include retired LTG Jay Garner as an advisor. He was the number two man in Iraq for a very short time. He was recalled by Bush, because LTG Garner stated his objective was to "turn Iraq back over to Iraqis as soon as possible. It's their country."

I knew him when he was an ADA battalion commander. You could tell by the way his soldiers interacted with him that he was respected and beloved.

High tariffs distort pricing, allowing the cost of protected items to rise which either results in less of them being bought, or money transferred from being spent on other goods.

Tariffs protect inefficient domestic industries from foreign competition. I think competition is a good thing and a forced reduction in competition is, yes, socialist.

But I’m not going to rehash Econ 101. You have the last word.

Free trade doesn’t mean you have tariffs and I don’t. It means neither party has tariffs.

Attack you? I would like to shake your hand.

I voted for George W. in both 2000 and 2004.

He was an awful president. The final straw for me was in 2006 when he tried to shove amnesty down our throats, and hundreds of thousands of illegals were marching in cities all over the country.

That “See you at the signing” comment by that fool of a president caused me to switch from being a registered Republican to an independent.

I wish I had voted third party as a protest instead of voting for that fake conservative.

Bull, A tariff may cause short term inflation but long term domestic competition kicks in and the world is wonderful. Which is the point.

The premise of Ricardo’s argument for free trade was that each nation would produce what it is most efficient at producing. Implicit in that argument was the assumption that capital stays within each country and is invested the nation’s most efficient industries. What we have instead is outsourcing of capital to foreign countries. Rather than creating “greater economic efficiency,” the outflow of capital simply guts the economies of industrialized nations, while enriching the governments of developing nations and the international corporations who do business there.

Macro Econ 101 works in a one world socialist world where there are no differences between standards of living or political in-fighting between nations. Macro Econ 101 is mostly rubbish and must be viewed as a model, an impossible model.

Micro Econ 101, which is purely domestic commerce, is more important.

A major reason for the outflow of capital is our having among the highest corporate income taxes in the world, coupled with ever-increasing regulations. Did you know the Federal Register’s growth each year is not measured in pages but in pounds? Amazing. We are all suffering from too much government. Some choose to get away from it.

Don’t you find it amazing now that you mentioned it. Their names:

TRUMP (God is sounding the TRUMPet)

Cruz (Spanish for Cross)

Coincidence? I don’t think so. God is hearing our prayers. We are not going to hand over this nation to the NWO gang without a fight!

I agree they are unbeatable combo and once they occupy they will be a force to reckon with. The Establishment are going nuts because they plan and do more planning to kick them out of the race but NOTHING can stop them.

Excellent riposte!
