Our government may have known where to look for that gold and other items. If they found gold, we wouldn't know it. In the years before Gaddafi was attacked, my documentary director son (a Texas America) went to Libya to film him and his bodyguards. Why his bodyguards? Because they were all female as he didn't trust men.
When son got to Libya, Gaddafi had him locked in a hotel room until he assured himself son was not CIA. Once he assured himself son did know the intricacies of a film camera and other techniques only a film person would know (which lead him to believe son was not CIA), he took son with him around Libya to film him in different activities.
One of those times they were in the desert and Gaddafi was on a make-do stage speaking to those who lived there. At some point, he pointed to son and yelled, “American!” Son thought he might be killed then.
Later, son found out what Gaddafi said was the American government lies to their people, and that's when he pointed to son with that outcry of “American!” He said the American government was lying to son.
At some point, son was in house of Gaddafi and son started up the stairs, filming him. He was stopped by the women guards. They said Gaddafi didn't want anyone knowing where his bedroom was. He thought the CIA would find out and kill him.
Son was glad to get out of that country and told me Gaddafi was crazy and would kill anyone because he could.
So, there was the film of Gaddafi in numerous places including his office building and his house (but not upstairs in that house), and everywhere he went for all those days. A picture of how and where he spent his life. Did a copy of that film end up with the CIA? I don't see how it did not.
That's the bottom line all right. Methinks his meeting with the Turkish ambassador was a kiss goodbye from Commander Xero.

Her answer to any question as to why certain requests weren’t filled is going to be that those duties were delegated to others in the department while at the same time she’ll say the responsibility is all hers! Poor nit wit - doesn’t know if she’s coming or going after all her lies.

The information I heard today was that General Ham as head of Africom received the same e-mails the White House received requesting help/support as the attack was taking place. General Ham immediately had a rapid response unit ready and communicated to the Pentagon that he had a unit ready.
General Ham then received the order to stand down. His response was to screw it, he was going to help anyhow. Within 30 seconds to a minute after making the move to respond, his second in command apprehended General Ham and told him that he was now relieved of his command.
