Trump: Revoke Passports For Those Who Go To Fight For ISIS, Would ‘Look At’ Closing Certain Mosques’
Breitbart ^ | 10-20-15 | Ian Hanchett

Posted on 10/20/2015 5:58:28 PM PDT by sheikdetailfeather

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated he would revoke passports from people who go overseas to fight for ISIS and “You’re going to have to certainly look at” closing mosques “if the mosque is, you know, loaded for bear” on Tuesday’s “Varney & Co” on the Fox Business Network.

Trump [relevant remarks in first video] re-iterated his prior claim about George W. Bush and September 11th, he did say that former President Bill Clinton, along with Bush holds responsibility for the 9/11 attacks. He added, “Now, was Clinton possibly, also guilty? Yeah, yeah sure. He should have maybe been more vigilant. And he actually said he knew about Osama bin Laden. I knew about Osama bin Laden, because I wrote about him in my book, I think 19 months before the World Trade Center came down.”

He was also asked [relevant remarks begin in the second video] “Now, in the UK, in Britain, they’ve obviously got a terror problem. They’ve got a lot of youngsters going over to fight for ISIS, about — just under 1,000 are going over there, and they’ve got a whole new series of proposals to deal with this, including withdrawal of passports from some of these people who’ve gone –.”

Trump responded, “Absolutely good, good.”

After host Stuart Varney continued, “And closing some mosques, would you do the same thing in America.” Trump answered, “I would do that. Absolutely. I think it’s great.”

Varney asks a leading question about what they are doing in Europe regarding Terrorist Breeding Cells that call themselves Mosques and the headline acts like Trump just brought it up out of thin air. Simply amazing.

Anyone notice that Trump also brought Clinton into the 9/11 discussion. I knew I heard him say something about it.

How many Comments have been aimed at Trump for not mentioning Clinton, the guy who was no longer President when 9/11 occurred.? Well, here you go, have at it.

Funny.

My family survived and escaped from the Nazis. The Jews and Germans let the whole thing happen.

Islam is the same as Nazism.

The POTUS can not close mosques, temples, churches or covens. It’s a freedom thing.
If they are inciting rebellion they can be closed. They are 503c corps. revoke tax exempt status, etc.

You didn’t read the question nor Trump’s response. There would need to be evidence and he would ‘look at’ closing ‘some’ of them.

He was pretty vague- so you are reading in what you want so you could bash him.

If they are inciting rebellion, the inciters should be charged. If members are working with ISIS they should be tried for treason and shot. If they are practicing their religion as guaranteed by the 1A, they should be left alone. If a President Trump closes down Mosques for no other reason than because he feels like it he should be sent to prison. If, if, if , if......

Nor would Trump want to...he's saying and everyone else is saying: Mosques are places of terrorists camps, and the religion the way these people practice it is immoral...terrorists and yes WE as OUR Country can shut them down...they are IN our Country under OUR CONSTITUTION, not the other way around....

I hate to burst your bubble because you are on a pretty good soapbox rant but try to understand.

1. Islam is not a religion. Its a political ideology.
2. Islam is not compatible with Christianity or Judaism.
3. Islam is not compatible with Democracy.

Islam seeks to use our Constitution to destroy us and then rule us. In the interest of self preservation we will need to remove this parasite from out midst. We can do it now in a fairly humane way or we will certainly have to do it later in an inhumane way.

Look, your point was less than brilliant. What ISIS does is not a model for what America should do. Can we at least agree on that? And they wouldn’t chop my head off because I would save one grenade to personally introduce them to the virgins.

“I want a leader who cherishes liberty.”

Liberty for who?

For illegals who come for taxpayers’ money?
Liberty for terrorists using their ‘religion’ as a cover?

When a religion encourages activities diametrically opposed to our Constitution, it is not a religion but a terrorist activity.

“The Constitution is not a “suicide pact.” -Robert Jackson Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court, Chief-War Crimes Prosecutor at Nuremberg, circa 1949.

The Constitution’s Bill of Rights, including religious freeedom, came from the 1776 Virginia Declaration of Rights. Virginia’s guarantee of religious freedom was a result of the fact that in the Virginia Colony the Church of England had been the official church and Baptists and other dissenters wanted a guarantee that they wouldn’t have to pay a tax to the Church of England/Episcopal Church. It was a dispute among Christians as can be seen in the language of its author George Mason:

“Section 16. That religion, or the duty which we owe to our Creator, and the manner of discharging it, can be directed only by reason and conviction, not by force or violence; and therefore all men are equally entitled to the free exercise of religion, according to the dictates of conscience; and that it is the mutual duty of all to practise Christian forbearance, love, and charity toward each other.” Written by George Mason, and adopted by the Virginia Constitutional Convention on June 12, 1776.

Islam was never a consideration when George Mason wrote those words, nor when Madison brought them along to the Constitution. Islam was and is the great enemy of the free Christian West ever since it rode out of the desert and began slaughtering Christians. It doesn’t believe in freedom of religion, it believes in “submission”, the very meaning of the word Islam.

To advocate for a religion that doesn’t believe in freedom of religion is to ask the rest of us to join in a suicide pact. No thanks. That’s the sort of reasoning Justice Robert Jackson was speaking against when he argued that Communists posed a clear and present danger against the United States and weren’t just another political party. They were dedicated to the overthrow of American freedom. And in similar fashion so is Islam today.

What do you think they're teaching in there..."Love thy neighbor"?

No, they want Sharia Law, completely contradictory to our Constitution and freedom....KILL THY NEIGHBOR!

“In my opinion as a psychological examiner for 30 years, his behavior appears to have traits like that of a Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and people can’t see it.”

Wow, making a ‘professional’ diagnosis without even having the patient within 100 yards of you and using sound-bites as ‘evidence’? I don’t know of any medical protocol that calls that acceptable.

The Cruz supporters here are reaching new lows.

Like another poster said, perhaps the goal is to distance posters from both Cruz (because his supporters are irrational) and Trump (by throwing out nasty words hoping they’ll stick, ala Alinsky) thereby really pushing for a GOPe candidate.

Thank you for a thoughtful response, explaining the historical foundation for the idea of freedom of religion. In the time when the constitution was written, “religion” was understood to mean Christianity ... Understanding that clarifies a lot of issues.

“his behavior appears to have traits like that of a Narcissistic Personality Disorder”

Actually Trump does not exhibit the traits of NPD as people who suffer from that affliction do not possess the traits of self deprecation (joking about yourself), empathy for others (meeting privately with the families of victims of illegal aliens or trying to help our veterans) or acts of generosity (paying off a woman’s mortgage because she and her husband stopped to help Trump when his car broke down or many other acts of kindness he never brags about).

A classic example of NPD would be Barack Obama.

Donald Trump is successful, self confident and bluntly honest. He lives as far as anyone can tell a decent moral life. If he didn’t the MSM would have a million people on TV telling their horrible stories but there just aren’t any. Hard to imagine that the MSM and the GOPe have not been able to find anybody.

I said his behavior has “traits” of that disorder. He would have to be tested to determine whether or not he has the full compliment of the disorder. I am certainly not the first to identify these behaviors.

I don’t hate Trump or any of the candidates. The word, “hate” is thrown around too often here just because one has a different opinion than another.

Perhaps Trump will win, or maybe he won’t. If he wins in Iowa and New Hampshire and South Carolina, he will likely be president unless Joe Biden gets in and then I don’t know what will happen.
