Cruz is my first choice, but this is from The Blaze which suffers from TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome).

Cruz get an
inflated scorecard at Conservative Review.
"Amanda Carpenter comes to Conservative Review fresh off an impressive tour on Capitol Hill, serving as [snip] Sen. Cruz's Speechwriter and Communications director.

You do realize she’s just a writer for them and doesn’t craft their ratings, right?
To: Isara
I believe that Ted Cruz is a believer in gloBULLism, unFree Trade, outsourcing and is a big proponent of legal immigration on the current unsustainable level. He proposed a 5 fold increase in H-1B visas. He is on the Cheap Labor Express and his wife is a wall street hack.
If this is a Conservative then we need a new definition.
He is establishment.

There are 5 editors she is the first one listed she clearly has input. Now how can Cruz get a top rating on Civil Liberties when he voted to renew the unconstitutional Patriot Act? Riddle me that one.

Yeah, there are reasons for Cruz’s low polling numbers. I have said that he gives the impression of being aloof and condescending and needs to work on that. This? Sorry buddy, I’m a Jeffersonian yeoman not an Angevin-Plantagenet serf.

I do not think that conservatives have betrayed Cruz. I would say Cruz has the vast majority of support among conservatives. I think the problem Cruz has is their are way more voters who like to act like a conservative than voters who actually are conservatives. The Trump phenomenon has pointed that out to us.

And Ronald Reagan was once a Democrat union boss. He woke up, and so has Donald Trump. I truly hope that you are correct. Reagan was the last President I have voted "for." I refuse to continue to vote for the lesser of evil because I just keep getting evil elected. They only reason I have kept my Republican affiliation is to be able to vote for Cruz in the primary. He isn't perfect but is the most conservative in action (not just talk) that there is in the field. I may go independent after the primary if another RINO is nominated and stay home next November. The jury is still out for me whether I would be willing to vote for Trump, but your argument that he has seen the light gives me hope.

I agree w/ what you said. The H1-B Visas and TPP did not seem conservative to me, and that elevated Trump for me. He is unapologetic on his Immigration views, and seeing what is happening with Immigration in the US, with worse to come, I think Trump will continue to gain support with voters.

Well I probably wouldn’t go that far but Cruz has stumbled in some recent votes especially TPA and the Corker bill. The H1-B visa questions are also valid. The other problem is nowhere on TedCruz. org, TedCruz.org is a plan for deporting the 11-20 million illegals in the USA. The reason for that is Ted Cruz is not planning to deport anybody. He is going to let them all stay and make them legal. His only caveat is no citizenship but that will be hard to stop after a few years. Sadly Ted Cruz also has donors to keep happy.
Trump is the better choice given the complete CF our country has become. We need drastic change and fast.

Betrayed? That’s absurd. I don’t owe anybody my vote. Ted Cruz is a fine constitutionalist, but he hasn’t demonstrated the kind of leadership ability that Trump has. There is no reason to think he can rally enough people behind him to win the nomination, let alone the general election. Trump has. Moreover GOPe won’t be able to sabotage Trump as nominee the way they inevitably would Cruz. Finally Trump has shown the ability to attract Democrats and independents that will be needed to win. Cruz hasn’t.
I would rather win with Trump than lose with Cruz.

Unfortunately, many hard-core Conservatives REFUSE to acknowledge any candidate, no matter how good, who can not handle the opposition media is going to get marginalized rather quickly once in office.
Trump has it. Cruz doesn't. ignore it at your own risk.

way more voters who like to act like a conservative than voters who actually are conservatives. The Trump phenomenon has pointed that out to us. Absolutely. It's especially noticeable when discussing topics like Kelo.
